Someone help me keep this up! <3 Be a pal!

  • About 4 days ago, I just hopped on the bike and did 30miles. I've done this every day now. 120miles right now, I haven't done todays yet.. I know it's too soon to see results, but for some reason, I keep doing it. Even if my legs hurt, and I can think of a million excuses, I do it! (Except right now, cause I'm supposed to, but this is important!)

I'm 20, 5'9 and weigh in at about 210. I wanna lose like 60ish pounds. I don't even really have a goal weight. I'm just sick and tired of being unhappy with my weight, so I decided to do something about it. And it's my own choice, so it'll work this time!

About 4 years ago I was at 180. I started deop provera, and I gained 30ish pounds. I switched methods, and now I'm trying to undo the damage, and more. I was fairly happy at 180, but I want to bypass that. The most important thing is being happy with yourself.

You all are beautiful no matter what, and you guys inspire me!

Even now, we're all bombshells and have got some killer curves
I just would like to uh... focus some of mine, lol.

    Let's get this done together!

  • Keep on biking!
Keep it up! Just be sure to give your legs a little break every now and then. At 5'3 and 190 lbs. I need to lose about 60 lbs. too. Keep it up, keep it up!

  • Hi Jen... good going! You have the right idea to keep exercising whether you feel like it or not. LOL there are too many "not" times for most of us!
  • Still going strong and steady. Been 12 days now! 30 miles every day, except for one where I only had time for 10 cause it was my mom's birthday and I had to spend the day with her.

I'm getting stronger from it! The first few days I had to take a little breather between every 10 miles. Now I can do it without a break!
The time passes faster, too. (My secret: I play video games while I'm on the stationary bike )

    Thanks everyone!
  • Wow you are doing great!

Here I was thinking.. I wonder how she knows how far she's riding on the bike, how does she track the distance? But then I kept reading and figured out you are on a stationary bike. hehe Doh.

How long exactly does that take, to do 30 miles?
  • It's taken me about a hour to do every day.

I just keep up the same pace. It takes a little longer if I'm distracted and pedaling slower though. I had read somewhere that exersizing for more then a hour per day was bad for you, so I decided to keep it up at that rate. I'm sure it would take longer if I used much harder resistances, but it has about as much resistance as it would if I was on flat ground. The first day I just hopped on and did a hour, and kept an eye on what distance that was. I've been using it as my guide.

I dunno if anyone can tell, but I'm kind of winging the whole diet thing. I /think/ it's working, cause I feel better and stronger from it...
Can't be anything wrong with that =3
