Default excited to be here

hey, i'm new here and i need to shed some weight. i'm 18 and i'm 5'6 144 pounds and i'd like to lose around 20 pounds within the next two months before college starts. i've done some cardio and aerobics during school and i just got an elliptical trainer but i'm bored on that so i decided to get the WATP express challenge 4 mile. i'm planning to do that 3 times a day and i was wondering if i should first do cardio first for a couple of weeks and then start to incorporate toning/strength training every other day or what? i'm a vegetarian so no meat and milk products so i'm planning to have a fruit and water for breakfast, exercise. lunch i will have a piece of fish and water and dinner i will have vegetable and fruit. i was wondering if i should eat more or the diet is fine? thanks and good luck to everybody

Hi gloryious!

I'm new here, too! I do "Walk Away the Pounds" 4 mile Super Challenge, too! I like it the best of all the ones Leslie Sansone has. I like to do that in the morning and also do some cardio/yoga/weight training in the evening.

Your diet sounds fine. I like to add protein in the form of peanut butter a couple times a day for a snack. It really is satisfying, and besides, I LOVE peanut butter!

Those 20 pounds should come off easily for you. Just remember to keep eating enough to keep your metabolism high. Your vegetarian lifestyle is naturally a good one for weight loss.

Good luck!

Cheryl

Welcome. Sounds like you have a great plan. I would definately incorporate the strength training. I lost inches and pounds really rapidly, once I started doing that.

Good luck. Wow..I can't wait to be 144!!!!! Just 12 more lbs till I'm where you are!

Sorry to disagree... but a couple of pieces of fruit, a veggie and one piece of fish is NOT a healthful diet or enough nutrition or calories. I would encourage you to check with your doctor before embarking on such a plan.

Just my opinion. I wish you success in your weight loss efforts.
