Talking 120 day /100 Miles Walk Challenege.

This is the first Challenenge I have ever created, but I needed something that wasn't focused on me getting on the scale, that had a reasonable deadline and that seemed reachable. In 4 months I hope to walk 100 miles. I picked 120 days to build in some flexibilty.

I'll post my miles here.

Anyone is welcome to join me.

This is really motivating me. I went to lunch (I was good - I went to Subway and had a Turkey sandwich, with Baked Lays and a coke (as my treat). I am on WW and I am well within my points for the day. After I got back, I went for a quick walk - 1.2 miles. I'm on my way.

2 miles to date.

I did the walking away the pounds DVD today, had been a while since I'd done it, LOTS of sweating, but happy I did it. Will be updating my ticker.

I would love to join this challenge as well, I have just recently(last week) re-joined TOPS and have 40 pounds to lose. yesterday I bought a pedometer and "blast away the pounds" walking dvd. My husband and I walk our puppy at a pretty brisk walk about 2.5-3 miles , several times a week, but I was wondering something.I know that walking intentionally(that sounded stupid) and walking around the house, work etc are at 2 different paces....I hvae vowed to wear this pedometer all the time...do you think that counts towards my miles or should I only count my outside WALKING or dvd miles? Just wondered. Thanks and good luck gals!

I think if you walk it ,it counts, but it might be better to set a minimum goal for the day (or week) of a certain number of steps. Where the pedometer for a day or 2 and see how many steps you are taking regularly and then set a goal. Also there may be some place on the web that says how many steps equal a mile.
