Default New here!!

Hi everyone. My name is Sara. I am new here but not new to trying to lose weight. I have 4 sons and a husband in the military. We have recently moved. Now that a lot of stress is gone, I am ready to lose this weight permanently. I need support on reaching small goals and not kicking myself when I fall off the wagon. I love trying new recipes, especially the good for you ones! Right now, my current goal is to start working out and keeping at it for the next month. I think it is an important goal since I NEED to exercise.

Hi Sara and welcome to the forum. Good luck on your new lifestyle. The people here are wonderful for support and encouragment. Many inspirational stories. What type of eating plan are you starting? There are many types of exercise challenges on here that help to keep you moving, if you join them. This is what I do, makes it more fun. Best wishes to you.

I have always had a wide variety of healthy meals planned and snacks in the house. My problem has always been portion control. Two years ago, I was exercising and losing weight by controlling the portions. Then, I got pregnant with my 4th son. Everything went downhill from there. Now I am prepared to do it and stick to it! I also have pre-made frozen meals (I made.) in the freezer to keep the Mcdonalds runs to only special occasions. I really hope that I can change my eating habits and exercise more. I think with a lot more support, I can do this.

Hi Sara, and welcome! I too make frozen foods for my main portions and then fix them with lots of veggies!

There are lots of challenges here and that is a good way to help with accountability! I encourage you to check them out and join in... or other challenges too!
