Default I am also new..

Hi am am also new here-am not new to the weight battle, my most recent battle was about 1 1/2 yr ago weight was 244-went to a doc-presc meds, bvitamin injections, 1200 cal plan, etc-down to 198 lbs and stopped-it was very expensive-tried to continue on my own and joined curves, was unable to work out for over 6 months. Here I am again at 244lbs. Feeling very heavy, very fat, very unhealthy, etc.

Became desperate and attemped a stupid soup diet today-made me very sick-yuch. It feels a little scary to try again as i have failed so much prior but here I go.

Am unsure of exactly what I will do for diet plan-except a 1200-1500 cal plan, using whole grains, lower fat, low sugar, good protiens, veggies and fruits, good dairy, with a walking program-will start out at least 5-10 min a day and work up.

I really want to make forever changes, I want to improve my health and my confidence.

This entire site looked so inviting and supportive. Thanks.

This site is VERY supportive, I think you will find you are at the right place.

Every single miserable stubborn ounce I have lost in the past few months, is only because of reading these forums, posting to whine about things, and looking at everyone's before and after pictures. I would have given up a long time ago without this place, and I hope you get as much from it as I do.

Best of luck to you -- you made the right first step!

I understand about being almost scared to try again. When I started in September I didn't tell anyone except my husband and kids (kind of hard to hide it from the people I live with) because I was so afraid I was going to fail and I didn't want to have to face people who knew I had failed at it again. Since then my attitude has done a 180 because now I know I can do it, I've learned a lot here from others who are doing it or have maintained.

If you need a buddy, feel free to pm me.

Welcome and good luck!
It sounds like you have some good ideas.
I do WW and it has worked for me. I needed the accountability. This site provides that too.
I started out walking short distances and I'm up to 4 1/2 miles 4-5 times a week and an exercise video on the mornings that I don't walk and sometimes I'll even do both.
Good luck to you and keep coming back.
We all have good and bad days.

Hi there and welcome. I'm new too, and the people on this site have been so friendly that I just remained motivated for days. It just makes you feel like you are finally doing something real about it, and you are talking to people who understand, unlike my 112lb sister! What is it about people who have never been overweight giving advice, it is always so demoralising!

Good luck. With support from your friends here I know you can do it
