Hey Beachbabe! I'm also from Ontario, and signed up this afternoon as well. Work has kept me from getting too involved here, but i look forward to learning all about you, and the others here, and hopefully gaining a little inspiration too!

hey,

thanks to all of you that replied.

I am on the South Beach Diet.

As for exercise, I walk, I play basketball and badminton, and I sometimes use a cross trainer.

Look forward to getting to know all of you guys and offering each other support!

WE CAN DO THIS!

BEACHBABE Which phase of SB diet are you on. The first phase is hard but it gets your weight loss moving.

Hey alwaysbelieve

I am on the 1st phase. I have done the South Beach Diet on and off since May 2005. It truly works. I am back to Phase 1, because I wanted to lose a few pounds to fit into my skirt for my graduation, in addition to get into a good BMi hopefully, well fingers are crossed for both!

Which diet are you doing? you sound like you have done the SBD before or that you are doing it! Good for you!

BEACHBABE

I did Southbeach before and it really works. It is hard and takes discipline but worth it. Right now I am calorie counting. I switch back and forth with diets to keep from getting bored. I'll be jumping back on SBD again in a few weeks.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation.
How many more pounds do you think you need to lose to reach your goal to fit you skirt?

Default Hey

Well to get into a good BMI I only need to lose 2 or 3 more pounds, so that should be good, anymore than that would be awesome too.

I hope it will fit. 5 more days till grad. They still haven't gotten our regalia's in yet, talk about last minute huh?

Good luck with your calorie counting, and good luck once you start Phase 1 of SBD, definitely works like you said, but very difficult to stick with at times!

BEACHBABE You will reach your healthy BMI quickly. You are so lucky to have only 2-3 more pounds. Will that also be your goal weight or will you have more pounds to lose to reach your goal weight?

I will be happy when I reach my healthy BMI, and even happier to reach my goal weight. I will probably be using phase 1 of SBD next month.

What are you plans after graduation?

Hey alwaysbelieve,

yeah it is great that I only have a few more pounds until I am at my good BMI now I am only a 2 pounds away. That is just to a good BMI, that is not my goal weight to reach even close to my goal weight I would still have another 15 pounds to lose.

Good for you, and I hope that you accomplish it for yourself!

My plans after graduation are to be working for the summer and then I got accepted into Teacher's College so that is where I will be heading off to

BEACHBABE

To reach a healthy BMI is a great accomplishment, you should be very proud. Congrats on dropping another pound. 15 pounds to your goal weight isn't too far off either. What type of exercise are you doing? I am mixing up my exercise to keep from get bored. I try to get in weight lifting twice a week, cardio five times a week and pilates.

That is nice that you are going to Teacher's College. How long is the teacher's program?

Yeah it is a good accomplishment, I am excited! Yeah not too far to go now, so greatly motivated! For exercise I walk, I play basketball, badminton and hope to add soccer in as well. I also have a crosstrainer so do that a few times also.

Yeah I am excited to go to Teacher's College! It is just a year long.
