Default It's time to do something

Hi, I accidentally posted my first message in the WW forum, but who knows, WW may be the spot for me. I am really wanting to lose weight, because I want to feel healthier and look better. I'm 5'4" and am at 200lbs., 28 yrs. old. I really need to work on tummy and thighs. I'm hoping to find lots of support and encouragement here and look forward to sharing stories, of success, that is!

Hello Dear!!

WELCOME! I am new here too, only been on about a week or so. It has given me so much motivation though! I have lost 5 pounds in less than 2 weeks! If you are looking for support, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!

I turn 28 in July and am struggling to lose weight as well. I have about 25 pounds to lose, but can definitely relate to the 200 pound 'wake-up call'. I was only about 20 when I looked on the scale and that evil number showed up - it just floored me! That was about 7 years ago and over the years I have changed alot of bad habit so now I linger a little lower on the scale, but not as low as I'd like. That's why I am here!!

You'll find alot of nice people on the site with alot of good advice. Do you have a plan or a program that you are starting? There are different forums for just about everything. I personally am a calorie-counter, it's just a lifestlye that I deal with better. It's good to find the right kind of support though. If you have questions or need advice or just want to say hi feel free to send me a private message. GOOD LUCK! YOU CAN DO IT!!

Sincerely,
Angela

Default Hello

I was'nt exactly sure where to post or even where to begin, I saw your post and i kinda feel the same way. I am 24 and a soon to be step mom of a 3,5 and 6 1/2 year old kids, im 5'2 and just under 250lbs... I've done all the fad diets and the diet pills and different exercises but i've only lost 20lbs in 9 months, Someone PLEASE tell me what im doing wrong or even what i need to change. I wanna be right around 160lbs and need to do that within the next 6 months, it almost seems impossiable.

JerrysWife2B!
No, it is NOT impossible. You CAN do it! You have to decide you want to do it & that you are worth it. No one can talk you into it. The next step is to always think of this as a lifestyle change & NOT a diet.

You CAN do this!!!

All the best to you!!

Jerryswife, welcome!
20 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. You've made a really good start.
Do you do any exercise? Even getting off the couch and walking every day can benefit you. What about food? Just plain old calorie counting. It's a drag, but if you really want to do it, you know you can. You have it in you.
