Default Need to Vent...i latte please

Ok so I have gained the 3lbs back that I lost last week. I'm not even changing my ticker because I'm annoyed and because I know I'll lose it again. I did not eat badly, I actually exercised more this weekend but still the scale mocked me this morning. I had all I could do to pass up Starbucks this afternoon. I am hoping badly that it's muscle, water, pms etc etc etc which it probably is BUT I'm still annoyed AND it's not fair because it was really my first offical 3lbs since I started hanging out with you guys. But it is frustrating and I know all that you are going to say I just wanted to whine. Ok all done thanks! lol.

OH DEAR....That darn scale will get ya everytime! I quit believing in scales when I gained 8 pounds over a weekend and lost 5 pounds in a night. These things can't seriously be possible?!? So often I have been dieting and doing great and then the scale says I'm up 2 or even 3. It is so frustrating! I just try not to internalize it and keep up with the good habits. Deep down you know if you are really sticking to your plan and give it some time, the scale will eventually go down and stay down.

And for the record, even though everyone will tell you this, it might be the TOM affecting you, water retention, PMS or even muscle gain !

Don't stress and stick to it!!! And I'm with ya, don't even move that ticker back becuase you know this is just a fluke and those pounds will be gone again - very soon!

don't let that 3 lbs bother you! you said you exercised more-- i usually retain water and a pound or two when i exercise more than usual (especially if i do weights). other factors for overnight weight gains: hormones, hydration levels, eating out (the salt in restaurant/prepared foods), not enough sleep, alcohol, etc.

i usually give myself a good week to see if my weight starts creeping back down or not. if it doesn't budge, i re-evaluate my habits.

Brendalee, don't mind the scale too much. You keep doing what you're doing and don't give up!

Thanks, you know that made me feel much better

I think I am going to weigh every 2 weeks now though and that way there is more time for me to see a real change. At least I hope! Thanks again
