Default Cost of surgery?

I work as a contractor since those are the only jobs I've been able to find lately. Thus, I don't have insurance. The one plan I could afford turned me down. Others (even with really high deductible) cost as much per month as my rent - just not do-able.

I'm just wondering... what is the "ballpark" cost of gastric bypass? I figure it's probably out of my league, but you never know until you ask. :-)

S/C/G: 275/260/150?

In the states it's from $15K-18K. In Mexico, it's around 8K - but it can be as much as 12K there.

hope this helps.

I don't think your weight would qualify you for gastric bypass. Most people who have modest insurance had their surgery covered if they were above 300 lbs. (well a few that I know..)
