Default Are there two programs?

I am totally confused about WW @ home. A good friend sent me a helpful packet of information, but it differs some from what I'm finding here.

For example, each range of points has a high and low end. It says you can eat whatever you choose in that range. Then you get an additional 35 flex points and earn exercise points by doing at LEAST 20 min. of activity, then any ADDITIONAL 20 minutes earns one point.

Now this site says you simply eat your minimum points and if you go over, you dip into your flex points. It also has a calculation for exercise points that seems to earn you more points for exercise.

I was just wondering if everyone could provide feedback on their pros/cons of each of the different plans...which they recommend, why they changed or if I am totally screwed up!

You are looking at a very, very old program called 1-2-3 Success. Back then there was a 7 point range a day with a minimum and a maximum.

The current program has a minimum just like the old but it is 2 points higher than what they had before. You still in a sense have a range but that difference between the min and max (keeping in mind the min is 2 points higher) as been given to you up front so 5 a day (because of the change of minimum) x 7 days is 35 what we call Flex but it used to be what you could bank.

Yes W/W changed this because of many factors including the intensity level to each indivdual.

In reality with a few different items (there is also now a cap on how much fiber you can count for calculating points --- 4 gms), how we count ActivityPoints (which can only be used teh day you earn them) and what different points are called the programs are basically the same.

MsKitty - the pm I sent you was based on the current program and as Kelly pointed out you have old program materials. What is the name of the program you have - it should be on the booklets.

I will check my program materials to see if I still have some of my older materials so that I might be able to help you out a bit more.

Ahhhh see this is where my confusion comes in. I guess it is the 123 success program. OK, so I want to do the most updated program. I was just so confused. Are the points for food pretty much the same from program to program? Or is it best to just calculate the formula when possible?

you can still use the materials and the slide for the 1-2-3 Success Program with the current one just do use more than 4 on fiber when you are calculating it. Remember too that the Food Companion and Dining out companion are probably wrong too.
