Wink I'm new too!

Hello! I'm Jamie...I've been reading the posts for awhile now and I've just decided that it was time to go ahead and join!! I'm about 270lbs now (the biggest that I've ever been) and need to lose as much as I can...but I'm shooting for 70lbs for now.

I'm getting married in September so I'm going to try to lose as much I can by then! I will be graduating from college in December and am just trying to feel a lot better about myself!!!

Soooo good luck to everyone and talk to you soon

Getting started is the hardest...that's what I've decided!!! Well I did weight watchers last year and lost about 15lbs before I kinda lost track of it...so I'm going to start that up again because it's something that has worked for me, my fiance and his mom and sister...so I have a lot of people around that have done it...which always helps!

What about you?

I tried WW about 2-3 years ago. I lost about 18 pounds, but it was so easy for me to cheat, because the plan is so flexible. SOOOO...I finally bit the bullet, and I ordered nutrisystem. The price freaks me out, but I'm desperate!

See I'd love to be able to do that...but...being a poor college student..it's just not possible!!!! I'll just stick with this since it's a little easier on my wallet for now! But eventually...if I haven't lost all that I want to in Dec (hopefully I will) I may try that! Let me know how the meals are!! I've always wondered

Hi guys!
I just joined on here this week, too.
I started WW last week. I lost 7.2 lbs this week. I'm sure mostly water weight, but I have been sticking to the plan and walked a couple of days. I plan on increasing my walking to three days this coming week. Trying to start out slow and get to a good plan for me.
Anyway, look forward to seeing your posts here. Good luck in your efforts, I know we can do it.
Donna

Thanks IrishCowgirl! I know if we stick together, we can keep motivated and help each other. This is an awesome site. I told somebody about this site and they just laughed at the name. I told them what a supportive site this is and there are a lot of great recipes on this site too.

I made one, it was a chicken chili. I'm on weight watchers and they have a lot of great recipes. I decided that this time, I'm going to try different things and give myself more to look forward to and not just get stuck in a rut. I love soups and chili's and casseroles. I'll have to freeze half of what I make, but that just gives me something lower calorie to eat on later. Take care.
