Default Sorry, posted in wrong place - Day 1 again...

Just starting - please analyze my day of eating

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually, it's my first day...AGAIN. I've been trying to do this for weeks and weeks and have been unsuccessful. First, I was eating regular bacon at lunch on a salad - found out that's not allowed. Then, I wasn't drinking much water. Then, eating way too much peanut butter or fudgesicles. I am always craving, or just HUNGRY. I only want to lose 10 lbs. Is this really bad? I eat a lot of snacks.

DAY 1

Breakfast
2 eggs with salsa, 1 oz lowfat cheddar, 2 oz chicken
2 cups half caf coffee
2 tablespoons sugar free nondairy creamer (vanilla caramel)

Lunch
South Beach Kung Pao Chicken
Peanut Butter/Ricotta Cream (1 teaspoon pb)

Dinner
South Beach Savory Beef w/Cheesy Broccoli frozen meal
1 cup steamed broccoli with 3 TINY dots of trans-fat free margarine

Snacks
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 fudgesicle
1 cup half caf coffee w/splash nonfat milk, 1 sweet n low
1 cup tea with sweet n low
2 scrambled eggs with salsa (hungry at 9pm)

Twissa, do you have the book? You should also check out the FAQ Section for the revised Phase I food list. While SBD Dinners may be Phase I friendly, theyu are also fairly high sodium. I believe Dr A stated they were to be used just occasionally, not regularly.

I'm sure the other chicks will chime in about your menu. More veggies is one thing I noticed. You can also add slow carbs like beans. AND dairy, please.

There is a thread started for folks starting Phase I this week. I moved your original post to that thread earlier this morning. Check it out as the other Phase I chicks may respond there. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82451l

I agree with a lot of what Ruthxxx is saying. It seems like you may not want to have as many of the SBD frozen dinners because they are so high in sodium. If you want something quick, maybe you could look at the SBD Quick & Easy cookbook. You can make most of those things in under 30 minutes and they usually don't take a lot of ingredients. It also may be helpful to incorporate more veggies into your daily menu (especially at lunch where you don't seem to have any besides what is in the frozen meal). And definitely keep drinking that water. It helps a lot.

Good luck!

Twissa, what Ruth and Crk say are so true... I think ya need to read the book and see the emergency handbook to Phase 1 to help you understand and Plan for this way of eating.
PB is limited.. looks like your consuming too much of it... and not enough veggies or protein. Look for adding raw or sauteed or roasted veggies, some more quality proteins like fish or more chicken and beans.
Review the recipes here..pick some to make and shop for them.. There's no quick fixes on SB ... those SB meals arent like Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem.. they're meant for a once in a while thing.

Welcome Twissa! I had to cut out the pre-packaged stuff during phase 1. Personally, my cravings were horrible for the first 2 days and then after that, they went away. All I can say is veggies, Veggies, VEGGIES! They don't satisfy the cravings for me, but they do fill me up.
