I think doctors would class me as to near my normal weight in order to do any serious surgery on me. Shame, cos I have often thought about it - surely it is a method that future proof weigh gain in the future.

No it is not a fool proof way to keep from gaining in the future. It is certainly not for someone with 16 pounds to lose...what's wrong here? Eat healthy and learn a new lifestyle and you won't need to think about WLS in the future.

Susan I have to say am really impressed with your weight loss!! Way to go girl!! How long since your highest weight, and what WLS did you do or did you do it on your own!?

And Loopy, Susan is right. Actually it's a downside of most WLS that unless you really change your habits, whatever intervention you did will be useless on the long-run. You should be grateful you don't need surgery, cuz believe me it's messy! Hang in there and keep doing what you're doing, cuz you seem to be doing well!
