Talking My short story is being published!!!

*runs around screaming* I just found out today that the college is going to publish my short story in their magazine!!

Okay so I know it's a just a college magazine but it's the first time any of my work has been published in any sort of way. Gah! I'm so happy right now I'm bouncing in my seat and all but screamed it as I ran out of the building. LOL
I write in my free time and at the moment am working on a book ( I have about 170 pages so far).. So this is such a boost in my motivation to get back to my writing.
Oh it feels so good to have finally done something, to have part of my life long dream come true. To get my work out there.

Thanks Midwife and Daisy ^_^... it's a tragic fantasy about a forest being. ( cross bewteen and elf and a vampire type looking person lol) surviving the distruction of his family and village by the humans.
It's kinda sad, but (depending on the reader).. lives.. Or dies at peace. It all depends on what you believe happened to him.

Congratulations!!!

You said "It's Just a College Magazine" but that isn't so!! A lot of wonderful nationally known writers started with "Just School Papers" and the like!

Thanks for all the congats everyone ^_^ I told my whole family over the weekend and my boyfriend. They were all snatching at the copy that I was given to read it.
I'm pretty sure I can get a link to the web site that I have it in. But in not... I guess I could always post it here, eh?
