Hi MY Girl, I just started weight training myself. I have been loosing on Slimfast for the past year and have always been pretty strong from farm work but I decided to add some weights to my excercise program. I use freeweights in my basement as I am fortunate enought to have them. My late husband was into weight lifting and I did learn a bit from him. Don't be upset if you don't seem to be loosing weight at first. Muscle weights much more than fat so you will notice your clothes fitting better before the scale shows a change. Muscle uses more calories so building muscle is like building a calorie burning furnace in your body

Start light, add reps instead of weight when it gets too easy. This will help you not to injure youreself. Soup cans etc are a great way to start but eventually you will need to get a gym membership or a home gym. If you don't have a partner the gym is the better choice as you can get advice from the pro's there and it is much safer. Hope this is helpful.
