One trick that works for me is to think about your ideal home, move through each of the rooms imagining in detail how it would be decorated and the furniture and everything.
Hi Heather - didn't realise you had ME. My mum has FMS - similarish type symptoms and she has sleep problems too. I'm normally okay if I get off to sleep but when I've got something big on it just swims around my head for hours.
My DH used to suffer badly with insomnia - often getting only 3-4 hours a night - and he tried the Paul McKenna insomnia hypnosis CD and it worked beautifully. It took a week of using it to kick in but since then he only has insomnia when he's under stress at work and a couple of days of listening to the hypnosis CD again sets him right.
