Talking New Here....

Hi my name is Christa, I'm 27 years old and desperately need to lose some weight. I have an 8 month old son named Donovan and live with my fiancee. We've been together for 4+ years and are getting married in 2. So I have 2 years to get as healthy as I would like. I'm 5'8 1/2" and currently weigh 226. I've already lost 9lbs in the past 2 weeks but I have 70 more to go.

Right now, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week for 1 1/2 to 2 hours each time, doing cardio for 45 minutes mixed with some strengh training and classes. I have a great trainer but really need some outside support and kicks in the butt to keep myself going. Surprisingly enough though, I'm becoming addicted to exercising. So I really need a buddy to keep me motivated.

Hi Christa my name is Tammi. I'm 33 years old and I want to lose 50 more pounds. I have a 8 month old son name john(johnny) and a 2 year old dauther alina. I have been married for 3 years . I was 217 two weeks after johnny was born I have been dieting off and on since then and I'm now 185. I would like to lose 50 more pounds. I need help staying motivated too . So maybe we can help each other stay on track. Take care, tammi

Hi Christa and Tammi! Welcome to both of you! If you need help staying motivated this is the place for you!!!

Let me recommend you join in some of the challenges! They are a great way to work in some accountability... LOL there are a lot of times when I ONLY do something (spelled exercise LOL) because otherwise I would have to go into my challenge group and say I didn't do a blasted thing and then I would get or LOL and sometimes

Christa,
I am also new to the board as of today. I am currently also very overweight and trying very hard to lose as well. I know what you mean about becoming addicted to the gym. I am currently competing in a competion at our local YMCA. They are doing their version of the Biggest Loser. We are currently about to start the 2nd week of 8. I am working with a personal trainer 3 times a week and on my own the rest of the time. I try to go to the gym twice a day and most days I do it. On the weekends it gets a little difficult because I am so busy with my girls and husband. I would love to hook up and be buddies if you are interested. I am 5 7 and weigh 279. So I know the daunting feeling of having a lot of weight to lose. If you are interested let me know.
