Default Does anyone know what a TFT test is?

I've just got a letter from my new doctor telling me to contact him because of the result of my TFT test. Does anyone know what a TFT test is? I had a blood test done recently and I know that on the accompanying sheet it listed a variety of stuff to be tested for - but I didn't notice TFT.

And... if you do know what TFT is - do you also know what the symptoms are????

Should I be worried???????

TIA

Thanks for that link, Veggie. I don't know why doctors just can't spell stuff out instead of using initials.

I don't think I'll start worrying just yet... http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80388

I had my bloods done yesterday - anyone else have invisible veins? I'm covered in needle holes!!
I need to wait until next wed/thurs for the result, it will be very interesting to see what comes back!
Let us know what the quack says Sarah Ann!

My veins are impossible. It takes a great deal of digging to get blood out of me. I wonder if its got any better since losing weight? I haven't been attacked by white coated vampires recently!!!

Mystic - yes I have invisible veins. Due to a childhood illness I was forever up the hospital for blood tests and was absolutely terried of needles. I always asked if I was to have one and they always lied to me! Ironically, I now work in a hospital but not in the clinical side. I am in the research bit but I still get anxious when I get in a lift with a porter who has a tray of the blasted things or I smell that medicinal smell. EEk!
