We are a group of determined people who have set a goal to reach within the next 5 days (1 weeks).
Everyone is welcome to join in at anytime during the challenge. All you need to do is set a goal for yourself. It can be weight loss, exercise, or maintenance; whatever it is you need support and motivation for.
We are all here working hard to stay strong and motivated and supporting each other is the best way to do this. Come as often as you can, post as much as you can and make 2006 the year of health and happiness for you!
We will post a new thread each Monday.
It is a documented fact that people who set goals are the most successful. Goals give you long-term vision and short-term motivation. By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a long pointless grind. By setting goals, you will also raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set.

Well here we are, our final week in this challenge! It has been a great journey and we have all done a great job! It takes commitment and determination to continue a challenge for 3 months and we did it!
Not only did we commit to this challenge but this group has lost 330 pounds!
Now it is time to push through and run to the finish line!
Great job everybody! I will post the final totals of Friday so please post your final numbers by Thursday evening!
This has been wonderful for me also! I never could have kept pushing myself if it wasent for you guys. Its funny how a little challenge changes things. I love these things. Very helpful.
well, hopefully i'll see at least one more pound drop off by thursday. i'm going to work extra hard at the gym the next three days. maybe i'll drop that pound. i may not make it to my 10 but i can make it to 9. i'll be satisfied with that because i know i didn't give up. that's what really matters. i didn't give up!!!
A little something to give you a final push for this last week:
WANTING TO WIN IS EVERYTHING
Success is connected with continuous action.
It's largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.
You're not finished when you're defeated, you're only finished when you quit.
The most important quality essential to success is perseverance.
It overcomes almost everything, even nature.
You can have a fresh start any time you choose,
for "failure" is not in the falling down, but in the staying down.
It's not over until it's over.
If you've got the courage to stick it out, you'll attain your goal. Winning isn't everything, but wanting to is.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.

I keep this along with other motivational sayings on the wall by my computer where I will see it every day. I have learned that I have all the willpower I need and I can pump up my motivation by building a set of great supports. This board and challenges are two of the biggest things I do for my success.
I changed this quote a bit as it used to say man which I have replaced with woman:
The woman who wins is the woman who thinks she can!
Although I might not make my goal, I am still very happy that I did this challenge. I am really happy that healthy eating and exercising has become a part of my lifestyle and that is the most valuable thing I’ve gained. I’ve also becoming more acceptable of my body. Although I will be thrilled to loose that last five pounds, it doesn’t bother me as much as before if I didn’t loose it. So thank you all for your support. You guys has been great.
I weighed in today and was down 2 lbs. I adjusted my ticker because of two weeks ago, I was sick and lost 7 lbs. Well after I started eating I was up to the original weight again, so I just put my ticker back up. O well...I knew it was too good to be true LOL. Only 7 more lbs till my April fools goal! Its ok that I didnt make it, I wouldnt have came this far without all you wonderful people!!
hey Ladies
You all did awesome. Keep up the good work and stay Positive always... I haven't lost much since last time. I have been working and being a mom So now I am trying to get into the habbit of dvds and walking more. Since I can't go to the gym really. Well, have a good day
I weighed in this morning and am down 4.2 so I am short of my goal by 2 pounds. This is o.k as I am sure that I will make it by next Tuesday so that is only 3 days over the challenge.
It has been great getting to know you and having this thread to come to for encouragement and support. I think it may have been overambitious to have a 3 month challenge so the next one I do will be shorter for sure.
Leigh: I don't have any plans for another challenge right now as I am currently involved in an exercise challenge on another support site and it has been hard to manage both at once.
I do think I will probably do another one in May to get ready for the start of summer in June. Give us all a boost so we can get into those great summer clothes.
Don't forget to update your tickers by Thursday night so I can update our total weight loss for Friday.
Only one more pound for me......Now I am going to my next goal...to lose the 10lbs by May7 so good luck ladies....its been so much fun and I hope all of you reach your goals.....
