I changed my routine today by going to the gym late after I ate dinner but I find I did not have as much energy as the other days so I was tired. I did work out for 25 minutes on the elliptical trainer, 10 minutes on the recumbant bike and 15 on the treadmill.
I have decided though that the treadmill is not for me. It is just too hard on my achilles right now. The pace is forced so you don't get to adjust to it. I think Wed. I will just walk into work and home as exercise for walking and then go back to the gym for a workout.
Last week was a hard one. I had my birthday, a friends birthday and several dining out occasions. I did not do my best but at least I recognized that I have to keep a watchful eye on what I eat.
Sunday was a bit of a write-off for me. I didn't get in my water, the food was within my limit but it was bad choices and I didn't exercise.
Sunday
B - Toasted BLT, coffee
S - Orange
L - Jam sandwich
S - Figs
D - 3 beer, 1 bloody caesar, 1 gin & tonic, pretzels
E - None
Monday
B - Boiled egg, yogurt, grapes, coffee
S - apple
L - garden greens with italian dressing, tuna
S - orange, peanuts
D - not sure yet, maybe pork tenderloin with wild rice and steamed veggies
Will be back to update to make sure the day's plan didn't change.
sorry to have been absent the last few days. I've been extremely sick. I played rugby on Saturday, and I guess standing around afterward sweaty and cold wasn't the smart thing to do. I started feeling sick on the way home and by Saturday night, it was full blown. I missed work today and will probably miss tomorrow, too. No exercise since rugby and food has been hit or miss. Not terrible, only a few hundred calories more than I normally eat, but nutrition hasn't been good. As soon as I am up and running again, I'll be back.
I prefer "natural walking" over the treadmill, too, Darlene ~ going at your own comfortable pace, speeding things up, jogging a bit if you wish and then a nice cool down stroll.
That was some Sunday dinner, Dee. Did you at least have a celery stick in the bloody caesar?
Sorry you're not feeling well, SAPF, is it the new meds causing all the discomfort? If so, are the symptoms supposed to ease soon? Hope you're feeling better soon, too, Suzi. to you both.
to the thread "SexyRevealed" (luv that name!)
I was in contact with Jilly Junior and she hasn't left us in spirit. She's taking a little rest from the thread while she kick-starts her loss with a short-term plan which doesn't really warrant posting due to its repetitive nature. Once she's back into a regular routine she'll be back (if not, I'll sic Kayley and Dishy on her)
It was my first day back at work after that glorious little week long break and I started off by leaving my damn "eats" bag (packed with fruit, cottage cheese, melba toast, a cheese string and a couple of bottles of water) on the kitchen counter! Luckily I have a stash of emergency food in my office, otherwise I fear I'd succumb to the food courts (including Tim Hortons) in my office tower!
Monday Brekkie

I went to the gym and worked out on a cross trainer for 14 minutes, the elliptical for 20 minutes and the treadmill for 20 minutes. I feel a little light headed tonight. I don't think it is from exercise but it might be. I will have to monitor it. I dodged my book club tonight because I really want to get back on track for the meal plan and fitness. I want to lose the weight I put on for my birthday and get to my first goal. I have ten pounds to lose I am hoping to see that first goal soon. It will make 17 pounds gone when I hit it and I am determined to make it.
The other reason I might be dizzy/light headed is the yellow dust is bad today. They canceled Korean schools and although we did not have school we kept the kids outside for very limited times. If we had aplace for them they would not of been out at all.
Anyway I will monitor it? Have any of you felt dizzy or light headed after exercise? This is the first time since I started a month ago. I think it might be the dust.
Jill - I did have a celery stick with the Caesar and lime with the gin, so at least I covered the fruit and veggies for the meal
Ali - I didn't see anything wrong with dinner as I was consuming it but I got a little peeved when I realized that this was the only thing I would be having for the evening. It just doesn't cut it.
Monday
B - Boiled egg, yogurt, grapes, coffee
S - apple
L - garden greens with italian dressing, tuna
S - orange, peanuts
D - 2 turkey sausages (on the bar-b-que since it was so nice out) with sauteed mushrooms, onions, garlic, assorted veggies, coffee
E - 45 min bike ride with hubby, 30 min eviliptical
Here's todays plan:
B - 2 boiled eggs, yogurt, grapes, coffee
S - apple
L - turkey sausage, chicken fried rice
S - Orange
D - grilled chicken breast with baked potato and salsa
E - hopefully another bike ride with hubby and then the eviliptical afterwards

Still having cravings. This month I'm just trying to eat what I crave, and hope it stays within reason. I figure I won't die if I have poor nutrition for a week out of the month, if some of that week's meals are healthy and I eat better the other three weeks. I'm tired of fighting with it, I inevitably eat a bunch of other stuff, then what I originally wanted, then some more on top of that.
Monday
Breakfast: McDonald's fruit and yogurt parfait
Lunch: Turkey and cheese sandwich, with LF mayo, on oat bran bread, and some soy chips
Snack: Hershey bar, and (not at the same time!) 5 oz pineapple
Dinner: Angus steakburger from Burger King (no cheese, no fries, but boy did I crave a hamburger!)
B-special k cereal with 1% milk
S- protein shake/1% milk with bannana and whey protein and apple
L-lean crusine chicken and fried rice with vegs
D-bake chicken breast with steam vegs and brown rice
S- half a grapefruit and special K bar
So far 4 glasses 8 oz glasses of water soon 4 more
Calories ~ 981 (not intentional ~ work day ~ shift was too busy to eat)
Exercise ~ walked 1/2 mile+ (wish I had had a pedometer ~ it was non stop for 14 hours)
Water ~ 4 glasses
