Default I broke my plateau....

..Of exercise that is!

So after a 5 day absence, exercise makes a comeback in my life. I think I tried to make up for it because I stayed on the treadmill for 95 minutes, getting to about 4.1 miles. Afterwards, I was sitting down and realized I could still go for some more exercise, so I popped in my Denise Austin "Fat Blasting Yoga" tape.. got through about 10 minutes of it and decided that lady can kiss my A$$!! Needless to say, just doing the stretches wore me out and got me out of breath. It's weird how I can go 95+ minutes on a treadmill, but 10 minutes of her stretching takes a toll on me. Oh well, I'll add the 10 minutes and bring my grand total of deliberate exercise today to 105 minutes According to my calorie calculator, I apparently burned about 950 calories, give or take a few. Yeah, baby! So far today I've taken in 1023 calories, so I almost burned as much as I ate. I feel so accomplished.

I won't try to keep doing that much because, as a beginner, I know that would just get me burnt out fast.

Wowsers! Did you have some kickin' music going? How did you sustain 95 minutes? Can you bottle up some of that energy and pass it around? I could use some!

Good job kicking it back into gear!

Thanks everyone!

Lena if I didn't have my mp3 player blasting music in my ears, I would've never been able to zone out long enough to do 95 minutes.

That's great you have such stamina! Though if you really did burn that many calories and eat so little, I think that could be problematic (esp if you did it a lot!)

Well, I still hadn't eaten dinner at that point, which was a turkey & cheese sandwich from Blimpies, so that added about another 450 calories or so. I know I probabaly won't walk for an hour and a half every day, but if I DID and because of my current weight I burn that many calories would that mean I'd have to eat a lot more?

That's some awesome stamina. I've been lagging a little in the intensity/duration of my workouts lately. Perhaps I'll try the movie idea and see if it helps pass the time more quickly. Well done!
