Default I'm new and need help

Hello everyone, I'm new here and have been reading the posts. I'm really impressed by the successful weight loss of you all. I hope it rubs off on me. I've been dieting FOREVER like many of you. I've gone up and down for years and hope to stop the insanity. I just moved to SC from CA 6 months ago and am fighting homesickness which means fighting comfort food for me. I hope to make friends here and keep losing weight.

Hi there! I know what you mean about being homesick. I moved TO california away from everyone and it really is hard. The people on here have been such great support for me and they will be for you too!

I started at the same exact weight as you. I had also done the up and down thing, never really sticking to it. This board really helps, especially if you participate a lot. There are food journal threads, exercise accountability, weigh-ins, everything to make you feel accountable. That's really helped me stay on track this time and not give up. You'll love it here and I know you'll have success!

Oh my gosh!!! I moved to georgia from california about a year ago. I have just started my weight loss journey. It's been hard but it feels like its getting easier.

Lately, I have been feeling homesick like crazy. I left all my family and friends behind. It's kind of lonely here. But instead of turning to food I've learned to excercise when I feel down. Trust me, you'll feel way better after an hour of excrcise instead of having a bowl of ice-cream.

Good luck and I hope I get to know you better around here!

we are all in this together, so please keep coming here for support...... even if you are not having a healthy eating day..... as that might give you motivation to make the next meal a healthy one, then all your meals will be healthy choices, and voila you will be one hot looking babe... hehe

Smile Thanks for the wonderful welcome!

Thank you all for welcoming me to the group. I'm a little fuzzy on how to use this site there are so many groups. As far as my diet, I've started a lo cal but also limiting my carbs. I was exercising and weight lifting for a couple weeks but I just wasn't losing. Maybe it was the bowl of sugar cereal before bedtime . But I've cut my calories to 1300/day and trying to stay around 30-50 carbs/day. I feel better already and have lost a couple pounds. I just don't have long term discipline. I hope this helps.
