Smile needs buddies

Hi

i am leandra (lea) from upstate ny, i would like to find buddies to help me lose 140 lbs, i am interested in supporting you as much as i can also. i am currently 260 lbs and at 5'2 would like to get down to 120. also if anyone lives near me id like to workout together, if you lived within a hour or two perhaps arranging a lunch date once a month just to check that we are doing what we say would be great, all other ideas would be to email or IM/PM one another. Please let me know if you are interested. I can be PMd here or reached at lady.leandra at hotmail thank you.

I also have more than 100 lbs. to lose. I don't live in your area, but I will give support any way that I can. I have received so much support here already and it has helped me tremendously. You can do this!

Hello all! I am a "returning customer" of sorts as I have not been here in over a year, but next week, I am starting all over in regards to my weight loss. I now need to lose over 100lbs as I broke my upper arm in October and couldn't do much for nearly three months. The pain was incredible and I sadly spent alot of time eating in front of the television. So now, I have a real mess. My knees are killing me, my blood pressure is up for the first time in my life.

I am turning 40 this year and would really love an email buddy to support and to be supported by. I do better when I'm accountable.

Default thank you

thanks to everyone who posted to welcome me, and i am really looking forward to becoming an active member and getting to know as many of you personally as possible. its taken me a few days to get use to navigating this web site but seems really great! i use mostly yahoo when i am online, if anyone has that and wants to chat, i am lady.leandra there and the same at hotmail also. currently i am just sticking to counting calories, watching my portions and trying to do some physical activity at least 5 days or more a week. i think i stated in my post i as of sunday was 258, i am making a small goal of 8 lbs and want to end at 120 whenever that happens lol.

i have a lil recipe box that i use on my counter, inside i have folded up 28 pieces of paper (1 for every 5 lbs i need to lose till my ultimate goal). inside each piece of paper is a tiny reward, when i lose 5 lbs i randomly pick a paper and read it, for example i can go out and buy a tiny hand lotion from body & bath shop, or a new tube of lipstick, a pair of earings, ect, i had some duplicates because i dont mind getting more then one pair of earings as a reward lol.

then i also wrote a double reward for when i hit biggy goals like under 225, 200, 175, 150 and ect like a pedicure, a highlight for my hair, something a tad more expensive. those 5 lbs should be incentive i hope and i will have 28 lil trinkets to show for it, heck i could do it all with earings alone and be so happy lol. can you imagine 28 pairs of earings? gosh all the outfits id have to buy when i was thin to match with them lol hehe.

Default ty, feel free

thanks dee and lake girl, feel free to use it and create your own items you would like, some ideas i have in there are like a new music cd, a workout dvd, pair of sneakers, forgot what i put in there by now so lol when i do get to them it will really be a suprise. could even if you got a good partner use them as helpers, say if you make 5 lbs you get a hot oil massage from them? grins works for me.

Welcome! You'll find lots of good support here!

I love your reward system also. I think I might steal some of your ideas. As of now I only have my "biggie" rewards in place for each 25% I lose. As soon as I lose 1 more pound I get these Seychelles shoes. At 50% loss, I'm getting a new pair of glasses (I sort of "collect" funky frames).

ok cool , love the shoes, i have not dared to try wearing dress shoes, am scared i might topple over or something am waiting to be thin to get dress shoes. i am basically putting my boyfriend to use as my rewards monitor. he keeps tabs on if i lost 5lbs or not, how long its taking me to see if i am hemming and hawing about doing things. he even made up a few rewards for me , promising to give me lotioned foot rubs when i lose 5lbs so definately those are worth working for.
