Default Let's start this trip again....

Now after not following WW for 16 weeks and paying for it too. I have decided that my whole problem is too many changes. I am a person who doesn't like change. I can't look at food and say I can't have that. If I want it, I want it without guilt. I don't like guilt either.
So, today I am beginning the change one. I just got the new revised book last week and am ready to begin. DH and I sat down to change a few things in it first. One is my doctor recommended more calories for the start and work my way down, and it takes 3 weeks to make a new change a habit. So, instead of a week on each change, I am shooting for three weeks it may take longer to lose the weight, but I will adjust it if need be.
Today is my first change in breakfast.
Everyone have a good day and remember you do this for yourself and only you have to answer to youself for the choices you make. Now if I could just remember this myself .

Good morning and welcome back, Cathy! I don't think I was here when you left, but I'm glad to see you here now!

I think making changes slowly is a very good way to go. When I decided to start on this journey in January, I decided that the key was going to be baby steps. Change one tiny thing at a time. When I started on the treadmill, I wasn't aiming for 40 minutes at a go. I aimed for 5. And it took for-EVER to get through that 5!

Then one day I said, "I can do this for another 10 seconds". So I went for 5 minutes 10 seconds. Seriously. Baby steps. Adding a few seconds here, a minute there, now I'm up to 40 minutes. I could go longer (and I have, on occasion), but by 40 minutes, I'm mentally ready to stop.

Every change has been like that. A tiny change and then time to incorporate it into my life. And here it is, mid-March and I'm still enthusiastic about my new lifestyle! Generally, by mid-March, I've jumped off the wagon and kicked it over the cliff!

Good for you for starting with breakfast! Hope it was a yummy one! And I look forward to seeing you around here!

Welcome back, Cathy! Stick around, and post often.

Making changes one at a time has worked for me too. I could do more, especially on the exercise front, but I'm very happy with the way things are now. I don't want to upset the apple cart by setting unrealistic goals I won't meet.
