Lightbulb hmmm.. just a thought

As I was sitting here eating my broccoli and cauliflower for lunch, I thought
"I like this.............................................. ............. just not everyday"

Then I went on to think about salads
"yeah, I like salads... .............................................just not everyday"

Then it occured to me.. I have NO problems at all indulging in some form of fat food (everyday). I could eat a hamburger (everyday), or fries, pizza.. whatever! Anything else that has absolutly no nutritional value and is pure bad for me I can handle "everyday"

So it was just opened my eyes, not only do I need to change my eating habits and lifestyle. I definatly need to do some work on my thinking as well.

I totally think that weight loss is a 90% mental and emotional battle. :Agree: My thinking has to switch as well. I crave that high fat/high sugar stuff and I need to just WILL myself to crave broccoli..etc..

I agree- thinking is what works. I keep thinking positive and I'm getting positive results. Sometimes it's a lot of work to think, but worth it.

Do you know, that will probably change over time. I have a treat meal every so often. I had fish and chips (English battered fish really bad - chips really bad) in February last year, and haven't had them since. When I was eating them it was like - "I like this, but I couldn't eat it every week", we used to have fish and chips at least once a week!

I had pizza for the first time a few weeks ago, (since starting my healthy living thing in January last year) and it was the same thing "I like this, but I really couldn't eat this all the time"

It's really great when your tastes begin to change, and you want to eat the good stuff. Now I don't even think twice about my good choices.......it just comes naturally.
