Cheryl-Thanks for starting the new thread again! Now why would the company even look at the name on the check? Men have such weird brains! Oh, wait a minute, I forgot. Their brains are located below their belts!
I was horrible yesterday. I made the tamale pie in the crockpot and ended up eating half of it. Then, I decided oh what the ****, and ate some Girl Scout cookies. What is my problem???
Shelley - Stop beating yourself up. You are so good 99% of the time, why feel guilty about one day?
Cheryl - Thanks for starting the new thread, the other one was getting pretty big.
You all know I got my ears stapled a couple of weeks ago, right?
Well, I had to get the left one take out because it developed an infection.
I think it did so because I kept playing with it.
The staples don't work (for me, at least), anyway. I had lost four pounds before I got them done and I gained part of it back the week after I got it done!! If anything, they made my food taste BETTER!!!
$25 down the drain..... Oh well, that's what I get for falling for a fad!
Shelley ~ I agree with Janice...don't feel guilty over a few cookies or a little extra tamale pie. We all get cravings and if you don't give in once in awhile it's just going to lead to a major binge.
Cheryl ~ Sorry to hear that the staples didn't work out. I guess there isn't anything that works better than diet and exercise.
We are supposed to get 7 inches of snow and ice tonight and tomorrow...isn't it MARCH? I guess my workout tomorrow will consist of an hour or so of snow shoveling.
Cheryl-Too bad about the staple! You were my guinea pig on that. Sorry you had to lose $25.00. Suzy is right. Good old diet and exercise makes you healthy and wise!!
Sorry I haven't been here girls. FIL passed away Monday morning, the rosary will be Thursday eve and the funeral Friday morning. I will be away for a few more days. We ended up taking a week off of work to be available & make arrangements. I will be back (hopefully) next week.
Wow, it has been slower here than ever. I miss everyone! Nothing exciting going on with me. I ate way too much again yesterday. I made the mistake of buying frozen yogurt. I ate a couple of bowls during the Oscars last night. It sure tasted good! Now I need to run it off.
I had major sweet cravings last night too Shelley. I nearly turned the kitchen upside down looking for something sweet and couldn't find a thing! I seriously thought about going to the store, but I wasn't desperate enough to face temps in the teens, so I settled on a cup of french vanilla tea!
I talked to Travis Friday night and asked him about the threats of civil war in Iraq. He said that it is a serious threat and the media isn't blowing it out of proportion. I then asked if there would be a possibility that they would keep him there because of all the trouble right now and he answered a definite "NO". His replacements are starting to come in and they will start shipping out a few at a time beginning March 28th!
I hope everyone else is doing well...it sure has been quiet around here lately. I miss all the chit chat!
Suzy-Thank goodness Travis will still be coming home! BTW, it's still in the 80's here. French vanilla tea sounds devine! Much more healthy than what I've done. I did manage to run 7.5 miles today after work, so I think I got rid of some of the calories. Now the frozen yogurt is still calling my name. I'll have to finish it off so it won't call me anymore!!
