i would like to know more about this diet too. I have been going to the gym 5 days a week since the first of the year except for 2 weeks when I traveled to Gulf Coast. I have lost only 5 lbs. but I feel so much better. I am looking for a good diet. The low carb diets do not work for me.

Chubby grl I am also a chubby girl. Chubby, take a look at the stickies at the top of the forum that tell you a bit about the plan. Check out the recipes in the recipe forum. The main advice I can think of is pick a plan you can do forever because this isn't a quick fix diet. It's a way of life. But I am sure you know that already. :-) Also, please join us on the Exercise sticky at the top of the forum.

India, not sure what sort of input you are looking for. Only thing I can say is the Med way of eating, which this is based upon has improved so many aspects of my life: My total chol dropped 50+ points, trigycerides are 1/3 of what they were, my HDL (good stuff) has risen, LDL is now below normal - into optimal range. BP is great, even though I am a terrible salt addict. Energy level has increased. My skin and hair are better. My depression is better. I've lost more than 80 pounds and have discovered a whole new way of eating that I can do for the rest of my life. Because whatever we do, it must be a permanent change because if we go back to how we were eating, we'll be right back to where we started. Do what you always did and get what you always got.. like that saying goes. I heartily recommend this way of eating because it probably has saved my life.

Linda, Do you mind if I use that in my program. the girls have shown interest in the sonoma diet and want to hear about it... I just plan to give them the major highlights and portion control ect.... I have high trigylcerieds myself, I need to get busy with this. I have tried some of the recipes and they are really great.... thanks, Barb
