It has been sooooooooo long since I was back In the Uk, Brookside was still fabulous!!!!.......is it still on?lol

Nope, Brookside ended about 2 years ago, it got pushed to a late evening slot for a while, and then they finished it completely. I liked Brookie, we got it in Australia for a while on our "ethnic channel" with all the shows in Greek, Chinese etc!!! But they didn't subtitle it LOL

However what was subtitled was Auf Wiedersehen Pet, and I still need subtitles to watch it!!!

lmao...aww shame they cancelled it!!.....Auf Weidersehen..was bad to keep up on unless you were from the northeast!!!lol
so how about eastender's, we got that on BBC America for a while but not anymore, no-one could understand but me!!!!..lmao.it is so funny when we watch English show's, or movie's, my hubby and kids, go "what did they say?" all the way through it!! I get so mad!!lol

we would watch brookie on saturday, and my mum would make the same Saturday tea..........gammon and pineapple, baked potato(with colelsaw in it), and cauliflour in cheese sauce!!.....accompanied with tea or coffee!!!! Oh yum!

Eastenders is still on in England and omg would you believe Pauline folwer just got married again lol , my friend who lives in AZ is such a fan she changed cable stations about 5 times so she was able to get it now that dedication , i used to like brookside its a shame it went but i still got neghbours etc to watch so i survive.

I loved Brookie too They said the viewing figures were down, but I found it really difficult to keep track of when it was on towards the end, cos they kept moving the slot around.

I loved the bit at the end of the final episode where Jimmy Corkhill put a "d" on the end of the Brookside Close street sign.
