Default Newbie!

Hey everyone! I have been looking for a weight loss forum to help me on my journal and I am so glad I found you!!

A little bit about me:
I was a skinny kid, but somewhere along the way I just never stopped growing . At my thinnest I was 130-ish for 5'4, but then again, I was 13. Still, I probably had another 10lbs I could have lost. But I looked hot!

I hit my highest weight at 230 in November. I had a baby in June. I had actually been able to lose all the baby weight thanks to breastfeeding, but once I stopped doing that, I ballooned up and gained 15lbs. NOT COOL.

So I invested in a nutritionist, bc clearly I have no clue how to eat healthy, and in a trainer, bc I have no willpower. Expensive, but SOOOOO worth it.

I started on December 2nd 2005 and I have lost 20lbs so far. Thats about a pound a week. Its slow, and its going to take me a looong time to lose the wieght, but I've made my peace with that.

Hi and welcome! I hope you find this site to be encouraging and supportive. I also was a small person until about 3 years ago (5'3" about 112 lbs.) I had some food allergy issues and got them resolved and went hog wild eating because I could do it and not get sick. Yell, about 87 lbs. later there I was. FAT!!! I started really hard at the new year and things have been progressing well. I wish you continued success. You are off to an awesome start with 20 lbs!!! Just keep doing it everyday, and don't let the little setbacks keep you down.

Hi, I was also skinny as a child. I first started gaining weight around age 14. I was jealous of the skinny girls at school. I went on a diet after graduating from high school, my weight has gone up and down over the years. I lost some weight in 2004, and I was a size 12 and weighed about 130. Then I gained a lot of weight when Hurricane Charley came, (I live in Florida) and I had something of a mental break down and was in a mental hospital for about a month. I gained alot of weight while there and after getting out. But now I am back on track. I am dieting and exercising. I drink a lot of tea hoping it will help me to lose weight. I currently weigh 171.5. I am 5'2" tall. I hope I can lose 50 lbs, or even 40 lbs. It's not about looking good, it's about being healthy and taking care of yourself. Looking better is a good motivation. I like exercise because it helps you to feel good. I am trying to get an hour of exercise a day.
