I just posted on WW about my thighs (which are VERY jiggle, have total cellulite and are my worse point) and about my realization that after 1 month of doing WATP (walk away the pounds - mostly the 2 mile express walk) my thighs are starting to show a change - for the better - tighter / firmer and how that has given me even more incentive to do the workouts (which I'm ecstatic about anyway). Hope this helps.
Hello, my biggest problem area is my hips and thighs, the best exersize I have found for that area is Winsor Pilates Buns & Thighs workout. It is about 20 mins long and you only have to do it 2 to 3 times a week to see results and its actually not that hard to do either, its a total lay on the floor workout, no jumping around or anything. I love it, you can probably find it on ebay or go to the winsor website and maybe find it. Good luck!!!

I have very chunky thighs also and I'd have to say squats are the best toning exercise for my thighs! They are incorporated into lots of exercise dvd routines that I have, but you can just do them alone as well. I hold 8 pound weights and just start doing lots of squats. You'll feel the burn after only 20-30 reps. Of course aerobic exercises help a lot with fat loss.
I just bought one of those Buns and Thighs Winsor Pilates dvd's off ebay - now I'm really looking forward to getting it.
For me, my thighs have a lot of muscle underneath the jiggle so I've decided to stick with my usual speed walking/jogging on the treadmill and using the exercise bike and not really doing much with my thighs as to not make them look any bigger. I figure once I lose the fat that they might look really sexy since there's so much solid muscle there.
There's a weight machine at my gym that's a lot like a thigh master but with weights and you can do it in reverse to target the outer thighs and butt. I use that occasionally and it feels good.
Toning muscle alone doesn't help, though. You've got to lose the weight first, and once it's gone the legs will look much firmer.
Lessthansign3, I LOVE that machine at the gym! My inner thighs are so muscular now from using it for a few months! You're right, though, the jiggly fat has to come off in order to see the newly defined muscle underneath.
Lots of cardio and healthy eating should help with that over time.
another good thing about the winsor pilates buns & thighs is it doesn't bulk up your thighs it makes them long & lean.

Yeah, I remember when I did Pilates a couple years ago I was amazed at how quickly it worked. I cannot wait to get this dvd. I got the ab one too. Do you do that? This gal was getting rid of these 2 dvd's but keeping the others.
I have the ab one, but I honestly have never did it I have the basic 20 minute workout and for me that takes care of my abs. I'm a pear shape so I have a smaller waist and stomache and the basic workout seems to tone them good enough for me. I'm more concerned with my hips and thighs
Tanya - I've done them a few times now and WOW! I really feel it. I'd been doing other toning dvd's before I started these and I can feel where those others had been "missing"! I really like them. I cannot do all the moves in the Abs one yet. Even with the modifications.
