Hello. In need of a motivating buddy.

Thanks for responding, or at least reading. I weigh 260 lbs. and I'm 5'8". My BMI is 39, so that puts me in the obese category. It says I'm supposed to weigh anywhere from around 130-165 lbs.. Not 260. Which I very much agree with. I've read articles and magazines, looked at websites, read books (well, at least some of the book), etc., etc.. Even told my doctor to tell me to lose weight thinking that would give me motivation, well, he did, but I haven't been back to see him for a year now. I've started eating right a few times, but then saw a cookie that seemed to be calling my name. I really don't like the word 'diet'. I like the words 'healthy lifestyle change'. Diet makes me think "well, I'll eat healthy for a little while, drop a few pounds, and then my body will do the rest for me". I don't have enough money to go to the gym or join a weight watch group. I also have a 2 year old son who will be 3 in July. I have no energy for him. He deserves a lot more than what I can give him right now. Believe it or not, I was at 170 lbs. when he was born. I've bought new clothes to fit my ever gaining waist line, and now I'm basically in a size 22-24. I've measured my waist and the measurement said 44 inches. That's almost 4 feet around! I've always been big. That "baby fat" never went away. Now that you have read it all, is there anyone who will stick by my side, and kick me in the rear if I start to fall? I'll be by your side too, just help keep me there. Thanks a lot.
