Default 318 days to lose 100lbs.

This year I will lose this 100lbs. I have a great start, I am working out 7 days a week and I have way cut back on the amount of food I am eating. This last week I lost 6 lbs(yea I know a bit much for one week and I am not going to try to do it again.) and to treat myself I went out and bought a bracletts with silver beads that go on it.(Like troll beads but way cheaper!) For every 5lbs I lose I will buy my self a new bead. Right now I have the first bead that is a "B". Its the first letter in the word believe. I believe in my self and I will do this. I hope this will be a place that I can share my trip this year and get some support along the way.
Thank you,
Shelly

Hello and to 3FC, and to the forum. Please hop in on the latest 300+ And Ready To Try Again thread! It's great that you are exercising so much, but you should give yourself at least one day off a week, so your muscles can recuperate. I look foward to seeing you around!

Shelly - Welcome to 3FC and the 300+ forum!

I work out every day too and so far it has been fine. I asked my trainer and he said it was OK as long as it's cardio (weight training is a different story). I set a goal of a minimum of 10 minutes a day, but most days now I am up to 30 - 40 minutes. Definitely join us in the ongoing tread.

LOL The bracelet is starting a new fad. A lady in our gym came into day with one on her wrist. When some one asked where she got it she told them about my plan and that she had just lost her first 5 lbs so she went out and got her one.!

All of the very best for your journey Shelly. It is a very exciting one and I know that you will receive the best of advice and support here.

The bracelet idea sounds perfect. I would have a bracelet AND a necklace by now I think... hey... good idea!

I exercise every day too. In fact, I exercise TWICE every day. I haven't had a problem so far, although sometimes I am a little too tired and still do it anyway. I'm not sure if I should be resting more.

It was interesting to hear Nancy mention about it not being good to do weight training every day. I may have to look into that more now as I just bought a home gym and don't want to overdo things. I will have the benefit of a trainer for one free session, so hopefully I can ask about that.

Your goal seems pretty realistic, which is a good move. Last year I lost almost 9 lbs a month every month, with lots of healthy eating and exercise, so your goal should be achievable I would say. I'm not sure about the 100 lbs exactly, but you should be able to get close to target I would imagine.

I look forward to reading many more posts from you.

Take care,

Zelma

Shelly, welcome!

You have set a formidable goal, and we will be here for all kinds of support!

I would only caution you not to get down on yourself if you are not hitting the goals you want -- sometimes our bodies don't behave as we would like -- and remember that you are doing great things to get healthy, and that's the ultimate goal!

Great idea with the bracelet thing. I am thinking of what I would like to reward myself with when I loss my first 10#. Maybe a book or something. I love jewlery but never remember to wear it.
