Default Any one have diastisis recti?

Ok I am pretty near my goal weight. I have had 2 kids and I have a huge seperation between my abdominal muscles. I know this is called Diastis Recti, I have searched online about it but I can't seem to find a lot of info about treatment, excercises, or surgery to corrrect the problem.

I also don't know if I could have a hernia. It hurts when I lay flat and when I strain like when I do sit ups. There isn't any obvious bulge, but when I lay flat you can fit your whole fist in between the muscles and feel my organs (gross, I know). It is especially tender around the belly button.

Anyone else have this and what can you do about it?

Diastasis recti is not fixable with exercise. Mostly if there's no discomfort we just leave it alone. I would see your MD and talk about your symptoms. You may indeed have an umbilical hernia. Diastasis recti is fixed surgically, and is often done during a tummy tuck. Good luck.
