Default Restarting Wave 1 tomorrow

Happy Valentine's day (and unhappy weigh in day!)

I have put on 2lbs according to the scale due to losing focus and not controlling what I eat quite as rigorously (I think some might be water so will let my tracker 'lie' til next week)

Does anyone want to start wave 1 again with me tomorrow for a bit of motivation? I need to focus on all the good things about the diet and non scale victories.

I'm starting Wave 1 tomorrow, but for the first time. I'm still up for buddy motivation, I'm sure I'll need it!

several people have asked the sonoma nutritionist about restarting and she says wave one is only to help with sugar cravings

She recommends that you stay on wave 2 and follow portion control and you will lose

I am restarting today, so to speak. Im going to start keeping a food log for a couple of weeks as well just to help me see the whole picture. I do cheat once a day with south beach diet cookies, 2 of them. They are better than cupcakes etc....
But, I want to restart with you.

Wave 1 is great for the sugar cravings and it works very fast. Yesterday was my first day of "wave 1 lite" (5 days only) and had a sugar headache last night. I know it was because a small piece of dark chocolate made it go away. So for the next 4 days I just have to tough it out and will stay on wave 1 a little longer if need be to beat these cravings.

Beaner0620, try to stop eating those cookies. I read somewhere that according to the author, artificial sweeteners make your sugar cravings even worse.

Thumbs up I'm with you Clareh

I am so for doing a daily thread to monitor our progress. I will start a food journal as well, and document water and "argh" exercise, too.

My husband took me to lunch at the pub, and I was pretty good. I only had one Guiness, and my entree, which was a steak boxty. No, fish & chips.

I want to lose thirty six pounds by December 23, I have to attend an anniversary, so I need to really follow the book, letter by letter. The way I figure it that is about 3.5 lbs. a month. That should be doable, right?

Good luck to everyone~Cate

Day 2- things aren't going too badly foodwise but my stinking cold is back- I don't know whether I got over it properly last week.

I'm having grilled chicken and roasted veggies tonight. With some hot chilli to try and burn this thing out!

I just made the Barley and Lentil soup in my crockpot. Smells great already. Hubby is gonna have cabbage rolls as he isn't a soup eater. I am surprised Cabbage rolls aren't in the recipie section yet!

I'm just starting my first round of wave 1, and we have had dinner plans for tonite & tomorrow for weeks. I'm going to have to be careful, as I don't want to start all over again next week. I thought we'd stay on wave 1 till March 1 to give us a couple extra days of good foundation. I'm feeling very weak in the will-power dept; may it's my TOM, usually I do well when I first start a diet. who knows.

sf40- thanks for the info. I was not aware that they made it worse. I have not had any of those cookies in two days, so I will stop. thank you.

I did pretty well yesterday. I hate breakfast because Im never hungry so that is a challenge for me. Plus, I dont really like eggs and the cereal with no sugar is horrible. So, I dont know what to eat.
I also had chinese food last night, but it had no breading and I did not eat the rice. I know its not great, but I was out and starving. I looked up nutrition facts online and what I got was not that bad.

How is your exercise going? Im really enjoying pilates/yoga. I have a birthday party sunday and cant quit thinking about birthday cake. cake is a huge weakness for me. arghhh. Its going to be so hard. HOpe you ladies are well. Good luck today.
What are you eating today?

Oh yeah and after two weeks of plateauing, I have lost another pound. I didnt do anything different either. Isnt that a long time to go without losing atleast half a pound? I also quit breastfeeding two weeks ago, so Im hoping to lose a few pounds from that.
