Cool St. Paddy's Day mini-Goal

Some support friends on 14 lbs by Feb 14 have decided to set a new goal for St. Patrick's Day (March 17). While 12 lbs had been suggested, I am proposing a thread for those that just set a realistic goal that you believe you can reach.

I am going 2lbs per week for a total of 8lbs by St. Paddy's day. I am going to continue making wise food choices , stay away from processed food and go to the gym 4 times a week.

Who else is in and what is your goal?
What are you going to do to reach your goal?

Ha - found you!

Well, I started mine a while ago so I suppose 12 pounds from now would be unrealistic. 8 lbs is probably a good target.

Anyone else joining?

Default i'm in again

I'm in for another round...

This week has been challenging to say the least. I feel like I've been just doing everything wrong in terms of healthy eating. This morning I woke up revived to get myself back on track. I'm guessing the first few days will be a little difficult. I got myself to the gym to weigh myself on the 14th and just made it under the wire but in the past few days I feel like maybe I've gained a pound or two back...feeling a little bloated! This chat forum has been a great support network and makes me feel accountable to myself. This is the first time I've ever been successful in losing more than a couple of pounds. Though my goal is to lose twenty pounds overall, the bigger challenge is keeping off what's already been lost...I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about!

So today...let the games begin!

Oh yeah - keeping it off is the hard part.

I've lost weight before but put it all back and more (haven't we all?).

This time it WILL be different.

Hello Girls!

I have been doing horribly, caving in to cravings. I had Pogo's the other day, but bought the box so subsequently had to eat them all over the last week. ARGH! On the plus side, I have been to the gym every day since Thursday and as soon as I finish posting going tonight too. I had a bad fall shovelling the driveway during a storm last week and my knee is still a little too chrunchy for the elliptical machine. Arms are getting a good work out though.

Keep up the good choices, or make the first and go from there. We can do this.

My goal now is really just to go to the gym regularly and do the healthy choices. Since starting to weight lift and do cardio again the scale hasn't moved. I know things MUST be happening, but I am still a scale addict. Anyways - welcome aboard!!!!!!!

I know this thread hasn't moved much - but I'm quite chuffed that I've only got another 2 lb to go.

Next goal for me will be Easter, but how much to lose will be dependent on when I hit my Paddy's day goal. I'm hoping to lose this final 2 lbs by next Sunday, which will mean 5 weeks till Easter. I think 8 lb by Easter would be a doable goal for me. Anyway, as I said, it all depends on how long it takes me to get these last 2 lbs off.

Well, just calorie counting and exercise - the old-fashioned way!

I aim for between 1250 and 1350 cals per day and I have a prety hi-intensity DVD I do four or five x a week. I managed to do it all without missing any out for the first time this week.

It has slowed down a bit recently but I suppose that's to be expected. I keep telling myself 1.5 lb a week is GOOD!
