I sure do. I have two favourites right now. I buy protein powder in a bulk food store ... either soy or whey.
Frozen fruit, berries are my favourite, cold water, protein powder, crushed flaxseed.

Or ... not fruit but yummy.Whey powder, cold water, vanilla, splenda and strong black coffee. I have to warm it up a little in the mic after I'm done blending but it's soooo good!

Hey queen. I found 1 that you dont have to make and is low in calories. Look for DANNON Light & Fit they are about 70 calories and no fat. They have peach & passion fruit, mixed berry, strawberry and bannana strawberry. I like the pech and the banna -straw. I drink one every morning for breakfast

Hey...here's one I came up with thru trial and error, it's delicous!

1/2 C low-fat plain yogurt or frozen yogurt
1/2 C 1% milk
1 C fruit
1 banana
1 Tbs. honey
2 ice cubes

Blend ingredients together until smooth, about 2 min. For variety, try differant fresh and no-sugar canned fruits in your smoothies.

Enjoy!

I make a smoothie almost every morning. The one I usually make is orange juice, pineapple chunks, and fat free, sugar free vanilla creme yogurt. You throw it all in a blender and blend for a couple of minutes. It gets really frothy and yummy!! I haven't tried it yet but I bet a banana would be great in this too!

My standard smoothie is usually some mix of banana, fat free plain yogurt, a splash of orange juice, and some kind of frozen berry. Sometimes I add Splenda depending on the sweetness of the kind of berry. Have fun and experiment! I have found it is not very easy to make an altogether bad smoothie if you stick to these basics.

I’ve recently started making smoothies for breakfast about 4 mornings a week and sometimes as a snack/late lunch on weekends. I keep my freezer stocked with frozen fruit like berries and peach slices (Trader Joe’s has a great selection), throw in a banana, kiwi is good if you like a bit of tartness (and a punch of vitamin C over 100% RDA in just one tiny fruit!) along with some plain soy milk and soy yogurt (I’m trying to cut down my animal product consumption) and for sweetness a splash of cranberry juice (I use a 100% juice blend) and voila! An antioxidant-filled low-fat start to your day. By my fitday estimates this comes in at a little under 400 calories.

I have a problem when I add yogurt to my smoothies--it seems like it's overpowering, even when I cut back on the amount. I make my smoothies using just frozen strawberries (whole, unsweetened), fresh bananas, and skim milk--that's it! If I want it a bit frothier, I add a bit of fat-free Cool Whip

I love to make smoothies with nonfat plain yogurt, skim milk, unsweetened applesauce, splenda, and cinnamon. Tastes like apple pie

We have a ton of smoothie recipes that you might find helpful.

This SB friendly homemade smoothie was concocted by our very own Santosha on these boards It became such a hit during the Fitness challenges and journal visiting I thought I would share it here for Santosha since she doesn't frequent the boards as much anymore. It's very good!!!

When you first look at the ingredients, they may shock you . . . we asked Santosha to post her recipe a long while back and every one of us cringed when we read it. Thus we jokingly termed it the "Grossout Smoothie" !! I've renamed it so that people will give it a chance

It's amazingly good, and there are many variations that you can use to make it suitable for your own taste. We are all hooked on it and I have one practically every day!! Hope you enjoy!

Quote:
1 cup raw baby spinach (or more...I do two big handfuls)

1/2 cup berries of some sort (strawberries, mixed berries...whatever...I do the frozen ones - they seem to add better texture to the smoothie. I also do frozen mango. I bet banana would be good too....)

1 cup 8th Continent Light Vanilla Soy milk (if you're not a fan of soy milk, try NF milk w/vanilla and splenda...or SF vanilla syrup...) The 8th continent tastes like a Vanilla milkshake, I swear...it's sweet and vanilla-y...

Other "add-ins" - 1/3 cup tofu (silken, light, firm whatever...it all seems to work) OR whey powder OR cocoa OR any combination of all those...sometimes if it's too thick, I also thin it with either water OR apple juice (sshh...my guilty pleasure...I only add a little!)

Blend it up and gulp it down. It looks hideous because of the spinach, but it tastes yummy and is so healthy!

Tip: Do not omit the spinach in this drink. Especially if you dislike vegetables, or need to get more veggies into your diet! You can't taste it at all, the berries and vanilla flavor of the soymilk overpower the spinach and you taste a sweet fruit smoothie!!!
Here are some recent variations/tips I've learned about the smoothie -
**Adding in 1 TBSP flax meal adds some great oils, and a nutty taste, and more fiber to the mix.

**Buy the bagged baby spinach when it goes on sale (ours goes for $1/bag sometimes) and freeze it - it works just as well, if not better, in the smoothie when it's frozen.

**If you make sure you have some protein in the drink, it will keep you fuller longer. posted by yosh, SB-diet-plan

I make this every morning with 1 % milk, chocolate whey protein powder, 1 T flaxmeal, 1/2 cup mixed berries, 2 handfuls of fresh spinach and 3 ice cubes. Recently I have made them with yogurt in place of protein powder and added banana and mago instead of mixed berries...oh so yummy!
