I think we all get to the point when we get down on ourselves an awful lot, at least I do, I know that. "I gained a pound", "I only lost a half a pound", " I didn't workout enough", "I'm fat", blah blah blah!!! I just thought that it might be uplifting to focus for a moment on what we love about ourselves. I am interested to see what you all love about yourselves. How 'bout like 5 things, at least.

4) "Jack of all trades, master of none" While not GREAT any one thing, I can do LOTS. I can bake, cook, sew, decorate, make crafts, etc.
5) I build muscle rather easily.

I love that:
-I have a witty sense of humour
-I'm a good friend... my girls call me when they need a shoulder to cry on, etc...
-I love that I teach children and have a chance to "mold" their lives for the better
-I love that I have the weekends to sleep in... I'm in a selfish stage in my life, and I can't picture getting up with children...I'm sure I will get there someday (no offense to all the mommies out there...)

Deafingly Smart...what an inspiration for all you said. I too was diagnosed with bipolar at age 38 and had to leave air forth which devasted me. Taken years to get over and doing ok now but no job right now. Think the meds helped with my weight gain, working to get 20 to 30 off...did get 20 off from extra high gain ...now hubby and I used to go out to eat alot and packed on the pounds. I love my resilience, my legs, my hair, my ability to make friends, my openness and honesty (though in a chat room thought to be otherwise as tried to keep my husband's name private and now "outed"....so some think i am dishonest).

Great thread! What I love about me:

- I'm very practical and grounded - no fantasy world for me
- I got my B.S. from an excellent college with a good GPA
- I'm good at keeping track of my money and living on a tight budget
- I keep in touch with my family & close friends very closely by phone and email, even though I live 1000 miles from most of them
- Friends feel like they can confide in me
- I think I take good care of my BF - if I've been about "me" for a few days, I make sure to be about "him" for a few, we are very give-and-take on both sides
- I express my feelings, and am not afraid to tell people what I think
- I like my dry, sarcastic sense of humor
- I love my lips, eyes, and fingernails
- I love how STRONG my body feels right now - I could go walk for hours without stopping
- I love that I eat extremely healthily ~80% of the time (80/20 rule) even at 23, and that I may be heading off some of the numerous health problems that run in my family
- I love that I don't smoke, and alcohol is the only drug I ever take if that counts as one
- I love that instead of waiting for life to happen to me, I took it by the horns a few years ago and started doing "scary" things - moved from my family, learned to scuba dive, drive boats, picked an 'unusual' lifestyle

It sounds like we are a smart, talented, funny, witty, generous, strong, BEAUTIFUL group here at 3fc!!!!!
