These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.
We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges,Weekly Weigh-ins,Recipes,Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.
We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...

WELCOME!
I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.
There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!!

Reason: Was bored, and wanted to make it pretty! :D
BY THE WAY, GRANNY IS STAYING ANOTHER NIGHT AT THE HOSPITAL, SHE WAS SOMEWHAT AGGITATED TODAY, BY ALL THE FUSS MADE OVER HER, WHERE THE DOC, PACKED HER NOSE IT IS BOTHERSOME AND SHE WANTS TO PICK AT IT, SOOO WE GOTTA KEEP AND EYE ON HER, BUT NO BLEEDING TODAY, AND SHE HAD A RESTFULL NIGHT,. MY GRANNY IS 91 YRS OLD,,,,,,,,
I sorta mapped it out this evening...when my aunt comes up to visit over the 4th of July, I would like to be at 250 pounds, which is 100 pounds lighter than the last time she saw me. That's 63 pounds from where I'm at now...and I'm in a pretty good mood tonight...that doesn't seem TOO out there of a goal. That would mean losing about 3.15 pounds a week. That's doable right? And at that rate, I think I'm going to make my goal of 200by NEXT June, definately! I might have to make another goal or something! CRAZY! For some reason I'm feeling really confident tonight. Probably because I did an hour altogether of exercise today!!!
Hi everyone!
As always... things move fast in here... had to get caught up.
WELCOME KIMI! as has been said.... please don't spend a lot of energy on embarrassment or worry... no matter what each of our stories are, we all have felt some of those same things and this is a very safe place. I thought the suggestion of focusing on measurements was a good one, assuming you don't have another scale you have access to. EIther way--stick with us! we help each other through this (and I'm still new here and already feel great about this place).
Kayley--I was a psych major in college... stick with it--it gets interesting! even the sensory stuff and all that eventually makes sense. (but yeah,..... I was eager to get into all the Abnormal Psych stuff, too!!)
Still trying to figure out what to do with this big ol' green exercise ball that's mocking me waiting for me to do something with it! Ahhh... there's a goal for me, eh??
Hope you're all well.... I'm nervous about the weigh in on THursday---while overall I've done ok this week, I've been really off routine as far as eating is concerned---I've been eating mostly healthy, but am off kilter. BUT I'M NOT PEAKING! will wait for Thursday.
Kayley: Are U Competative?
What Do U Think Of A Challenge We Are On The Same Diet, Same Amount Of Weight To Loose,, Soooooo Are U Up For A Competator? (in a good way )
MY GRANNY IS TOUGH, AND YES I DO ADMIRE HER, SOOO MUCH
Nancy - That is like out-of-sight that your company is totally under your mental control and extra bonus of being able to telepathically influence your insurance program to pay for the gym. I wish you would focus some of your psychic powers on Medicare to get them to help me out with my goals!
Really, very very good!
Welcome Kimi (I think I broke my mom's scale, but I'm not tellin') It wont go to zero anymore, it goes to 310 and you have to subtract to get an estimate of what you weigh but it is still wrong because I had my mother weigh at the gym and she weighed less than at home.
Crock - Glad you got the books I like the little greenish blue one the best! Now for me to get back on phase 1, I only lost 1 pound this week and I blame it on the milk, the bran flakes, and the no-fat whipped cream and strawberries. Got to go back to phase 1, phooey.
When they say add stuff back slowly they mean it!!
Thinthinker - Thank you for clearing up the mystery surrounding felicia. I now know I will not be getting in trouble accidently because I dont do links generally and I dont sell stuff on forums...maybe on ebay but not in the last year. Anyway, it is nice to know the no-nos, no?
Birthday ladies - Happy Freaking Birthday to Y'all!! from Texas well, from me in texas...
2losinit - I sit on my purple ball beside my bed and pet my cats. so far
2LosinIt - I surely hope it becomes more interesting, because I keep having to fight sleep...when I'm not doing the whole deer in the headlights thing! LOL! Hope your weigh-in goes phenomenally! Sometimes you can surprise yourself!
Crock - I'm really not the competitive type, and I'm afraid that if I did do this, and then got "beat", although we'd really both be winners, I'd lose steam, and piddle out. What kind of a competition are you thinking about? I'll give it some thought whatever it might be.
Garnetfairy - That's another reason I'm not going to phase 2! I'm scared I'll gain it back! I know eventually I'll have to go to it, but I've been on phase 1 for about two months, and I could do it for another year, honestly...heh
Kayley: No Biggie On The Competator Thing, I Did Not Know If It Would Help Or Not, Just Trying To Keep Psyched, Somewhat..lol
Btw, Staying On Phase 1 Is Not Good, Rapid Weight Loss Will Hurt U , U Will Lose Muscle And It Is Not Healthy. Phase 2 Is Slower Losing , However 2 Or 3 Lbs A Week, We Gotta Take Baby Steps, Just Try It ,, And If Something Happens To Off Set Your Loss, Go Back To Phase 1, Re-adjust And Prepare Better For Phase 2,

I don't know...I did a little online research, and they said that if you are MORBIDLY OBESE that it wouldn't be awful for you to stay on phase 1 for a while longer. I plan on going over to Phase 2 around the 280 mark. Right now, I couldn't really even be considered to be on South Beach, since I don't have the book, so I'm really only following a blend of Atkin's, what I know of South Beach, and just low carb...lol. When I get the book, I'll actually probably start off at the beginning. I probably just contradicted myself...
With Valentine's Day right around the corner I thought it would be fun to have some healthy sweets recipes. I got my Kraft newsletter in and they had a whole section on healthy treats so I posted a few of the recipes over on our recipe thread. I hope you'll find something to suit your fancy or to make as a treat for your sweeties.
Very Well Kayley, What Ever It Is You Are Doing It Is Working, I Just Stress Out Over The Atkins, I Over Thought It I Guess, Heck Dont Know What I Did, Just Failed The Diet, And I Had Rapid Weight Loss, And When I Gained The Weight Back, I Dont Have Near The Muscle I Did Have. See I Stayed Only On The Induction Of The Atkins For About 9 Months,, I Got Burned Out, And You Know The Rest Of My Story Bout That.................
Thin- OOOOOOH! The Black Forest Parfait sounds YUMMY! You taunt me! LOL!
Crock - Since I'm so young, I still have a lot of muscle. My legs are quite muscular, and I'm working on my arms...and I need to start doing toning exercises soon, though, I know.
