Default Please Help Me On My Way To Lose....

I've been 40 lbs overweight, lost it, gained it, lost some, gained some more, lost again. Right now, I'm 20+ lbs. overweight. I want to lose this weight for good and get my eating under control, but it seems like no one around me understands-but I know if I had the support of a friend I'd be successful. I was at a function for my daughter and other moms were talking about their desire to lose weight. These women were not even overweight! I told them that I do an hour of cardio 5 days a week and they looked at me like I was crazy. They thought it was excessive. What these women didn't understand was that I've battled this weight for a long time and this is the only way I won't gain another 20#. I need the support of other women who can understand me. I really need a buddy I can message at least a few times a week who is in the same position as I am (needing to lose around 20 lbs). Help me, please! I'm just feeling like I could really use some support. BTW, I'm 32, mom of two little ones, happily married, good life, good friends...this is the last thing in my life I need to straighten up.

Hi and welcome! I've got a couple of thoughts for you.
Weight training.
Figuring out your diet.
Joining us with just a few pounds left to lose in the "Almost There" thread.
Reading alot in the Maintainers forum.
Where ever you decide to stop and join in ... tell us a bit more about you. What kind of cardio, what food plan ....

My diet is, well, the biggest problem. In fact, if I'd eat right I wouldn't be fat. Ofcourse, knowing and doing are two different things. This is the plan I have:
Morning:
2 eggs with whole grain toast
green tea
Snack:
ff cottage cheese
apple
Afternoon:
vegetable soup
yogurt
grapefruit
Snack:
bowl of shredded wheat with skim milk
Evening:
chicken breast
baked sweet potato w/ cinnamon and splenda
Snack:
3 hereshey minis or 1/4 c ice cream (not too sure about this)
Exercise:
30 min. walk/run on treadmill
30 min. stationary bike
15 min. pilates
arm workout
This is my ideal Monday. I can do it! I have to keep telling myself this. I can do it!
This is what I know will get me to where I need to be. I always start the day fine, it's the nights that trouble me. I will blow a whole day by mindlessly munching.
Any tips for this problem??

If I had a dime for every time I've said "Intellectually I know ...." I'd be rich!
Actually your diet doesn't look too bad. Want me to tweak it a bit or are you gonna try to stay on course today and fiddle in a few days?
