Thumbs up Scientifically proved Tapping Technique which helps with cravings

Hi

I thought it might be helpful to pass this long to everybody to give it a try.

Im posting this again because my other posting from last night seems to have disappeared. Give this a try and keep at it .. it really does work though you may have to do it more than once for strong cravings and it may seem a bit silly in places but believe me it works. This has helped me give up bread forever.

Even works for smoking addiction too.

Craving Buster

If you are feeling a strong craving for a particular food right now and you want to reduce it immediately, just follow my instructions completely and your craving will vanish.

Before you do this exercise read through all the steps first.

What you are about to do involves tapping on certain acupuncture points on your body. The code for any craving is stored like a computer programme in your brain. By thinking about the food you are craving while tapping on each point in exactly the sequence I am about to describe, you re-set you brain's operating software to bypass your cravings so you can easily get on with your life.

Focus on the food you are craving for a moment. Now, rate your craving on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being he lowest and 10 the highest. This is important, because in a moment we will find out how much you've reduced it. On a scale of 1 to 10, how strong is your craving?

Now think about that food you have been craving and taking two fingers of either and tap about ten times firmly above one of your eyes.

Now tap under the eye.

Now, tap under your collarbone.

Keep thinking about the food you were craving and tap under your armpit.

Now place your other hand in front of you and tap on the back of it between the knuckles of your ring finger and your pinkie.

Open your eyes - now close them.

Keep tapping, open your eyes, and look down to the right and down to the left.

Keep tapping and rotate your eyes round 360 degrees clockwise, and now 360 degrees anticlockwise.

Still thinking about the food you were craving, hum the first few lines of 'Happy Birthday' out loud.

Now once again hum the fist few lines of 'Happy Birthday' out loud.

Repeat the beginning of the sequence. Still thinking about the food you were craving, tap under each eye about ten times.

Now, tap under your collarbone.

Now tap under your armpit.

Ok, let's stop and check - on a scale from 1 to 10, what number is your craving at now?

If it hasn't completely gone yet, simply go back through the entire sequence again until it does. It may take as many as two or even three times before you have completely eliminated the craving, although most people report getting their craving down to a manageable level on their first or second try. You may eve find that it is gone completely.

Carole: Your previous message was moved to thread #818 to try and clean up the area and put it where the most people would see it.

I have also deleted the other two threads that you posted that had nothing in them.

You know why I think that tapping technique might work, because you are so darn busy tapping here, there and everywhere, rolling eyes and singing happy birthday that your mind is completely off food

Hugs,

Ammi

I think that's exactly what it is. I actually honestly wasn't sure if this was supposed to be taken seriously or as a joke...

Hi all

Thinthinker. I understand your concerns but there are no problems with copyright the technique is free on a website for anybody to pick up and use. I just thought some people might benefit from it if they wanted to give it a go. Sorry I had no idea if or where it had been moved just couldn’t find it. I tried to message you but your mailbox was full Not sure what happened with the triple entry maybe my PC was having a bit of a fit. Sorry about that. There was no way to delete them once they were up that I could find. I put it on a thread on its own because things move so fast in here if you blink you would miss something but I guess that means its a very popular place and rightly so. I hope this contribution helps somebody. I can see how it sounds a bit off the wall but I am so excited as to how much it has helped me control my cravings and therefore my weight loss, I wanted to share it with anybody who may be open to trying it.

In regards to the tapping technique

I think the distraction is very small part of it because what you are doing is reprogramming your brain away from your cravings for certain foods or habits and breaking your associations of pleasure with them. Also, and more importantly the tapping works like a kind of acupressure which stimulates certain points on the body (meridian points I think) which in turn generates the good feelings/natural chemicals your brain releases like seratonin and therefore if you use it well and often enough it will help you bust cravings.

Its not a joke though I can see why you thought that Jilly. I think a lot of NLP practitioners use it also to help people to break habits such as smoking, fear of flying etc. All these things are in simple terms a kind of bad programming of the brain and can be changed. The technique was demonstrated on - Paul McKenna's I will make you thin show - which you may have seen over the last few weeks Ammi. He used it to help a girl kick her 4 litre a day Coca Cola habit so it definitely works. She tried to go cold turkey but after a day she was in a terrible state, 15 minutes later after she used this tapping technieque she was calm and happy and had happily controlled her craving and dependancy. The last he spoke to her she had lost two dress sizes. She reported that sometimes doing the tapping once worked but other times when the craving was stronger she had to maybe do it four times. Eventually as I said the craving lost its hold over her altogether and she was free of it and much happier.

There was another technique, not the one above, which would help you kick your love for any kind of food. For example, one girl loved chocolate but wanted to stop eating it because she couldn’t lose weight because of it. She used this other technique and three weeks later he checked with her and she hadn’t touched a piece of chocolate in fact she thought the very prospect of eating it was vile. If you are interested in that one I could IM you with it or post it.

The above two techniques have certainly helped me kick my bread and general chronic carb addiction. Of course like anything else for it to work you have to use it.

anyone ever heard of the V-8 and Vinegar diet? I see this technique in the same way,,,,,, before you eat , you are to dring the V-8 and Vinegar, if anyone has ever tasted that,, you know that YOU really make sure you are hungry before tasting something that makes you feel as if you have hair on your tongue (yuck!). so if i am at work(anywhere in public) and get a craving,,If you set your mind to do the Craving Technique.....wouldnt you rather NOT have a craving and NOT do the Technique?????????? that is how my mind works on this subject,,,,,,, thanks for sharing...........

No problem each to her own. This is a scientifically proven technique not really in the same league as V8 and vinegar ....
