Default A Small Victory--Resisting temptation

I went to Spokane today. Me and hubby both have a bad habit of falling off plan when we travel, and sometimes we have to travel a LOT. Today was a temptation. A test if you will.

I had to go to spokane to a recording studio so they could record me reading one of my books for a Scholastic video. Tomorrow is our cheat meal. We so easily could have said, "Aw, we'll just cheat today." But we did NOT. And at the recording studio guess what happened? They set a box of fresh assorted Krispy Kremes right in front of my face. The kids each got one. Me and hubby had ZERO! I did not even taste a bite!

And all the way back through Spokane we talked of all the cheats we could do, but we ended up going to the Mongolian grill instead. I only had a small bit of noodles in addition to my veggies and meat (I usually don't) but they had no california rolls at this one (my usual mongolian grill carb).

My one treat for the day was a sugar free/fat free vanilla Latte. Yea! So I end the day within calorie range. And to top it off I did step aerobics when I got home. I wasn't at my most energetic, but I did get the farthest through the advanced stage I've ever gotten.

Tomorrow I'm making pizza for our cheat. Whole wheat crust with fresh ground wheat, turkey pepperoni and canadian bacon, homemade sauce, lots of veggies, and yes CHEESE. :-) And some type of dessert made with eurythritol. Don't know what yet. But I will also do step aerobics with the full ab routine (yikes).

Just sharing a small victory!

Congratulations! It takes alot of strength not to eat badly while travelling (I should know, I've gained most of the weight I need to lose while travelling)!

And your pizza sounds great (minus the meat for me- I'm a veggie)!
