Well, LeeAnn , I have to make my lunch and get ready for work. So you do the math. 2 lbs a week is a fabulous acheivement. I'll check back with you in a few minutes, OK?

I'm back for a few minutes. I lost 30 lbs in 3 months at first. I then had trouble learning to maintain.

heheh...I was thinking the same thing. From now till June 1, there are about 18 weeks. 18 weeks X 2 pounds/week = 36 pounds (i.e., NOT 44). In your initial few weeks (usually about 2-3 weeks), you may see more significant weight loss as your body adjusts and you lose water. However, it will slow down, and maintaining a 2 pound per week rate of weight loss is very difficult. Add to that the fact that the closer you get to your goal, the more difficult it is to lose weight, and you've got yet another speed bump.

Do what you can. Whether you lose all of the weight in your desired timeframe or not, losing ANY of it will make you healthier. If you're exercising really well, you might actually like how you look at, say, 125 pounds instead of 111 because you will be a FIT 125 pounds rather than a flabby 111. Work hard and do what you can and know that you are growing healthier, but putting a time limit on your success can often cause frustration. I would like to lose 50 pounds this month, but I know it ain't gonna happen, and I don't know WHEN I will lose 50 pounds, and picking a specific day isn't going to make those pounds come off any faster

I'm not saying it is impossible, but losing more than an average of 1-2 pounds per week consistently makes you more likely to gain it back. As annoying as it is, it is true: slow and steady wins the race

I know and I know it's true about it being slow and steady works, i just don't like to think it since i want it to be thin now, i just had the goal and it'll sound stupid because i was planning on going to my ex-boyfriends graduation and making it jealous, I mean i wanted this for myself for the longest time but that just motivates me even more.

Would you be OK if you didn't get all the way to 111 by then? You could be awesome sexy with some extra pounds.

Right, but I'm saying that if you really work out, you could still be damn sexy at 120 or even 130 or whatever--111 is just a number, not a fitness or hotness level

Listen to Jilly, she's a smart girl!
I also wanted to say that when I was 162 lbs I had no idea what I'd look like lighter. You could very well be super pleased with 125 lbs you. I would be and I'm not much taller.

You have to be careful when setting your goal if in order to achieve it you must "eat healthy and workout everyday." It sounds like an easy enough thing to do, but depending on where you are now with emotional eating, binges, snacking and other habits, it may not be reasonable to think you are going to do a complete 180 of your life overnight - and be able to stick with it very long. Focusing on making smaller, more gradual improvements, will really give you the best success. However if you are so focused on hitting a certain goal by a certain date, the gradual part may not get you to that goal. But if you make your goal that you want to have lost some weight by a certain date and make lasting habit and behavioral changes, you are much more likely to be successful. And for me, feeling successful is what drives me toward making new goals and more changes. Feeling like a failure is what makes me want to quit it all. Best of luck!

Well, like i definately eat when i'm not hungry i eat when i'm bored and i do eat if i get upset, actually to be honest , i don't think i remember a time when i ate when i was actually hungry, i don't ever think i've been hungry since i just eat all the time. And also, i'm just sick of being how i am i'm not happy with myself anymore, i'm such a dork, i put pictures of thin victoria secret models on my bedroom door so i could have a image in mind, i know i wont look anything like them once i've hit my goal

I am also 5' 2" and not currently at my goal weight. However, when I work out, I definitely look much better between 120 and 125. If you put on muscle, you will look awesome at that weight. It sounds high, but with muscles and low bodyfat, you'll be making the ex drool, and kick himself for letting you get away. And that's what we all want right? hahhah.... Good luck, you can do it!
