Red face NEw and Looking for support!!!

Just wanted to say Hiya and I am new here!! I have jumped on and off the wagon on weight watchers and became so fed up with paying to rejoin weight watchers to let myself fall. So... here I am trying...again.... it at home on my own and exercising too daily(first time)!!! There has been some progress but need some motivation and pushes for those days, like today, when you want to give up!!!

Hi - just joined and I too have been constantly making changes in my diet and exercise habits over the last year and still struggle with losing weight. The time I lost weight is when I had surgery in 2004 and I lost 17 lbs from being on a liquid diet - I definitely don't want to resort to a liquid diet - I've been doing this by myself with the support of my daughter- I don't want to gain another pound but I can't get it right. I can't recall how I arrived at this site but after looking through it, I see that there are people just like me wondering 'why can't I get this weight off of me?' I know it can be done - but I just can't figure it out - All I know is that 'WE CAN'T GIVE UP'.

Hi Kimmie,
Welcome!!! I too am a Weight Watchers member, was on it twice before starting the third time and realizing this time, I had to lose it for my health and keep it off. My mother was concerned I would have a heart attack. I was young, well turned 40 but younger than her and thought, I am heavy but I am not going to have a heart attack. Well I didnt but the reason I started the third time was I had turned 40 and my brother had diabetes and I was afraid I would get diabetes so was tested, found out I had low blood sugar and it could develop into diabetes. So I started on the journey to change my eating habits. Portion control as they teach you in class is a big part. Without portion control, your not able to keep the weight off. And I say that about any diet. Oh, I dont want to sound to wordy.

Thanks,
Lisa

Red face Support and Exercise.

I think it is important, especially for all new people, to find people to go to to talk to and have support and to get that push and diet ideas. If we all just lean toward each other it may work. I have started that CORE exercise that uses the ball and it is working and it is alot of fun to and usually I use to be anti exercising!!! I highly recomend it for people to try!!! My problem is I am impatient and want to lose weight ASAP and want fast results and If I dont see any I get discouraged!!! I need a special key to turn that part of my brain of so I don;t get discouraged!!! Any ideas?
