Default Anyone successful with The FIRM?

If so ---- how much of it did you do every day, or how often? Which workouts? I assume it was done along with healthier eating..?

I am only at this now into my second week, but I tend to obsess over the exercise as I become more conditioned. In other words, only after 10 days or so, I get less winded, etc. so I feel like I need to do 2 workouts back to back, or twice a day.

The Body Sculpting DVD at 45 min. or so makes me sweat my butt off and I love it! Then I am tempted to do a cardio one after that but am afraid to burn myself out.

So, what worked best for you? I'm only looking for a safe 1-3 lbs. a week weight loss..

I LOVE the firm! I started doing it in May last year, and the results I have gotten just amaze me. I also follow WW flex points.

I use it 3 x's a week (sometimes 4 x's) and am doing walking/aerobics on the alternative days. They say on their site that you should give your body 24 hours to recover after doing one of the routine's so I try to follow that.

I was looking at your website the other day -- WOW how inspiring are YOU??? Great job!

Hmmm, I'm definitely not following that 24 hour rule and wonder if I should be Did you find that it took a lot more to get you winded after you were conditioned? Did you do MORE at that point? I feel like I am not going to get a good enough workout unless I do.

Yes, I did. I added more pounds to the weights.

I do my firm workout in the morning, and in the evening I walk.

You know, funny you should say that. Well, not "funny" but interesting... A long time ago -- when I lost 30 lbs. (mind you, I was young) I lost the weight, but I exercised twice a day.

Do you feel that is what attributed to your success? A trainer told me it didn't matter when you worked (eg. an hour a day in the AM, or half hour in the morning and half hour in the evening) but I disagree with him. It seemed to help me drop more weight by exercising twice a day.

I LOVE THE FIRM!!

I did it for 4 weeks and lost 4 inches from head to toe. I would do the cardio/strength workouts on MWF and then the ab workouts on TTH and toss in the stairmaster or something for good measure.

I think you should give it a try!

I have to agree with your trainer... a hour a day, no matter if it's all at once or broken into two parts, is STILL an hour a day... no more and no less, so it doesn't make a bit of difference.

I have been doing the Fat Blasting Cardio MWF and the Complete Body Sculpting on TTH. I haven't broken out the Total Muscle Shaping DVD yet.

I also jump on the treadmill on average every other day (in addition to The Firm) for about a half hour. Think this will all work? I feel like I am getting smaller after only 2 weeks, and I am hoping this will do it for me.. that and WW. Thanks for your inspiration!

Make sure with all that exercise that you're eating your activity points so you don't hit a brick wall and quit losing. If you don't eat enough to fuel your body, your body will rebel and not release any weight. I know first hand b/c I was plateaued for almost a year before I figured out I needed to eat more.

Hi: I wanted to ask those of you that use The Firm...are you using the the "step" that you can buy with the videos? I was looking at the TransFirmer system that is for sale (comes with the step) and some reviews at Amazon said it was a piece of junk. Do you agree? Does anyone use a step from a sporting goods store? Thanks in advance.

Lynn - I do not have the newer "Transfirmer" however my FIRM box came with the original step and 3 videos (I got it off ebay, new in the box). The step expands from the 6 inch, and with the sides pulled outl, 14 inches. It is every bit as sturdy as whatever I used when I used to work out at the gym and take their aerobics classes. Therefore, I can't speak for the "Transfirmer", just the older one they put out. You could always find a step you are comfortable with the store, if you can find a good deal. HTH, Rhonda

PS - I can see how this program yields results. I have already noticed subtle differences in less than two weeks --- like, I can wear my size 7 bikini underwear comfortably now. I feel inches off - subtle changes, but noticible to me (and hubby). I get weighed in after 2 weeks on Monday, but I suspect I should be around 5+ lbs. for the 2 week period. Good luck!
