Default ?? Where to get started??

Looking for a healthy way to get started on a low calorie meal plan. I have done it before & can do it again.. It is just getting started. I am not good at looking at calorie lists and making up meals.. not inthe beginning anyhow.. I seem to do better with a printable meal plan.. any suggestions?

If you go to the support forum and look for a couple of threads about 'a nearly perfect day' you'll get lots of ideas about what some folks are doing.

Just read lots here and ask questions. Nobody cares much where you ask, we're all happy to help.

I found that setting a daily calorie goal for myself and then logging everything I ate into the computer was the way to go. I use the software from the CalorieKing website, but a lot of people use FitDay. There's a calculator here on 3FC that you can use to set a goal.

Once I started logging my food, I started really paying attention to the calorie versus fillingness versus satisfaction of what I was eating and started making healthier choices. I swore off movie popcorn after seeing the calorie value for that, and I recently started taking my own lunch to work because I wasn't satisfied with the cafeteria choices.

Good luck to you! Seems like there are about as many ways to lose weight as there are posters on 3FC .

Default One word...

FitDay.com. It is free. LAter, you might want to buy the PitDay PC version (I did because I travel and don't always have access).

FitDay does the figuring for you.
