Default looking for a big loser I need to lose 160 lb how about you?

I began the year at 304.8 and am currently 295.75. I want to be 135. I am
5'2" tall so I am humongous at this time. My all time highest weight was 345. I am on psych meds and lost the previous weight thru changes in my medication. Now my meds are stable and I have to put forth an effort to lose weight.

I am looking for a buddy that needs to lose a large amount like I do. I am using South Beach diet principles and calorie counting. I have joined a gym but have not begun going with any regularity yet. I plan to change that soon.

I do not care if you are male or female, as long as you are for real and really want to lose the weight this time. I am mostly homebound but I can get a ride to the gym. I have a friend who needs to lose a lot of weight but she is not interested in being my diet buddy because she just wants to make small adjustments here and there. This means she is still eating ice cream... So I need to find support somewhere else. I thought I would try here.

My mom is dieting with me but she has little to say to me and is not really a support system for me. But at least she is not just cooking potatoes every meal now. Yes, I live at home, I rent a room from my parents. My mother insists on doing all the cooking, which is a pain. I am on a small social security disability income so I do not go to work. I spend a lot of time on the computer. Time I probably should be exercising.

I have lapsed since I went to visit my friend because we ate out for all our meals and not at the healthiest places. Also, I did not resist temptation as well as I would have liked in retrospect. I hope I did not gain any weight back! I am beginning to think I will not be able to go spend several days at my friend's house while I am working on losing weight. Especially if I am going to get into a work out routine with the gym.

Anyway, I would like a diet buddy who wants to lose a great deal of weight. I need to lose 160 pounds and I want someone who will be in for the long haul if we hit it off.

Thank you for reading this.

WELCOME!!!!
There are alot of members here who are having a hard time finding that "perfect" diet buddy. I hate to say but it is hard. I was on my own for 1 week then decided to find a group of gals/gents who would like to have fun, stay motivated, get inspired, and be there for each other emotionaly. Caring for one anothers feelings is a very important factor in finding or being in a group. You have to be there for each other and no matter what, always stand by that person. I believe in praising each other no matter how big OR small someones goals are being met. Praise is such a great motivater!

I hope you find that group..I did! I LOVE my group and the way they inspire me as well as each other. I need them as well as they need me. Go check out the "groups" forum and find a group to join. I am positive any group would love to have you join with them!

Take care and stay positive and motivated!

I am so lucky. I belong to L A Fitness and they have a private exercise room for women only at their clubs. If anyone decides to join put me down as referring you, Janet Hitt. I dont know if I will get anything out of it but it is worth a try!

Anyway, I totally like the club it is really nice. I used to go to 24 hour fitness but it was an old club and you could really tell. My L A Fitness is brand new, they are still tweaking it up here and there. It just opened in December, 2005. Now if I will just get off my butt and go take advantage of all it offers...ha ha ha

I really like working out but it is difficult to get myself actually to the gym. Once I get there it is fine and I work out and it is great. But actually leaving the house to go seems to be a big problem for me. I hope it gets better!

Good luck everybody!!!!!

Thumbs up

Boy, go take all the advatages at La Fitness! I live in a "dinky" town and all we have is the YMCA and Curves. I refuse to go back to Curves due to how rude and lazy most of the women are there! Every 30 seconds you move to the next "station." Well, most of these women REFUSE to get up until the next 30 seconds. Then there's this line of women who are just standing around! There's no organization in that place. So please, take advatage of what you have.

BTW...WELCOME!

So, I'm alone. I lift though. ....alone. Anyway by September 9th I want to be somewhere around 150-ish but, hopefully sooner. See in September I get to see my all time fav band Pillar at Rock The Univers in Universal in Orlando. I have never been skinny. So, I want to be little with lots of energy!! Oh and, my all time goal size is a 9 or 10 and i wear like a 20-22 AHHHH

Default I will be a buddy...

Hi I'm Lori....a SAHM and I'm 47 years old.....
I need to lose 100 pounds. I'm only 5 ft tall......and very very round!

I'm not very happy with my weight....and I would like to have a
support buddy to encourage and be encouraged.

Start weight 220
Goal weight 120

I'm not following a hard and fast specifc diet....
but have done almost every diet plan that has been
available.....from Weight Watchers to accupuncture...

I've been over weight since I've been about 5 years of age.......I don't really have a memory of every being slim....but have seen pictures of myself as a young child....and was tiny!

I have tiny bones
and am basically a tiny person.......with too much fat on my body!
Therefore I am suffering physically......
an the older I get the more I suffer....I know I need to get this weight off.

I'm cutting back on portion sizes. Watching the carbs and fats...
drinking more water and walking!
I live in Michigan where it's snowing right now.......so I walk in the mall.

Hi, My name is Amber. I'm 5'11" and sadly weighing 311. SO if you're still looking for some motivation and a weight losing buddy on here let me know. I'm doing weight watchers, I don't know if you want someone who is doing south beach or not. I don't go to a gym but have tons of workout videos and bike ride and hopefully soon getting a home gym.

Hi, I need to lose 160 pounds. I am in the 100 pounds in a year group. We are on buddies around page 12. We move backward when there is a new page of posts so it could be page 13 now. Anyway, it is a great bunch of "losers" and we all have at least 100 pounds to lose and we are trying to do it all in 2006 which would be about 2 pounds a week.
Actually 52weeks x 2pounds = 104 pounds of loss.

I just began on New Years this year and I already lost 11 pounds and 2 inches around my abdomen and my hips, hurray!

I am doing South Beach Diet and counting calories and watching portion size. I also do an online food diary at Nutridiary.com. I have been sick most of the month with one thing and another so I have only exercised 2 times this year. But I expect to get busy with it after I get over this nagging cough and congestion.

I hope you come check out the 100 pounds in 1 year group, it is very active and enthusiastic and supportive, of course we all slip up but we help each other pick ouselves back up and get back to it!

Good luck with your weight loss!
