Hi all..........I'm a newbie........who is in need of HELP!!!!
Hi all!! My name is Tiffany. I am 24 years old and I weigh 245 pounds. I live in Pennsylvania. I really want to lose my "spare tire ..........but I don't know where to start. Everytime I attempt to diet.........well let's just say it goes all down hill So I was on the biggest loser forum through NBC and I saw a thread about a picture of Jillian and it lead me to here!! Everyone here seems so supportive of each other and I think that is what I need to kick my butt into shape!! I don't what diet is better than the others..........and I am not quite sure how to exercise ( I know that sounds dumb) or where to start with exercising........is cardio better than strength..... that kind of stuff. So basically what I am trying to say is I need a buddy!! Someone who can help me as well as I help them to not only stay motivated but to be friends in the battle of the bulge!!! Someone to pick you up when you are down and make you smile when all is lost!!! Sooooo............if someone out there is willing to put up with me I would love to have someone to help me with this quest to be a new...happier...healthier ME!!! So thanks again!!!
Hey Tiffany- Nice to meet you! My name is kim, and I am in the same boat as you but i started my change of lifestyle today! I don't want to do any certain diet so im just eating healthy and working out, I suggest just moving around to get you started! Wear a pedometer and try to get in a certain amount of steps per day then add more as you go that's what im doing plus an excersize video, here's my fitday page on what's going on with me today I just started so i don't know much but i would love to help you by being your friend and making suggestions! good luck and keep us posted! - Kim
Hey Kim!! Thanks for the fast reply!! Well I am not working and I only live off of my fiancee's income so I dont really have the money for a pedometer.....but I do have an exercise bike!!! So I think tonight I might have my self a spin.......hey its moving me isn't it!!! I can't really say that I ate all that great today.......well cause I didn't discover this website until this afternoon!! lol............well thanks for the advice and I will keep in touch with you..thanks sooo much

hi Tiffany
i'm Julie, 25, mommy of 2 daughters, and wife to Lucas who is in iraq for a year. when i met him, i weighed 135. my highest weight, which came after my first pregnancy was 260. down to 204 now, and i guess that is a feat in itself, but would love to get back down towards 140. i've not been following a diet either, just the basic working out and eating right (trying to anyway). been doing better at working out than i have done eating healthy. but it's all a learning process for me and someday i'll have it nailed
i'm gonna add you to my yahoo. i could use someone hounding me about exercising
Hi I use a note book to put all I do(food I eat, workouts I do, feeling) It has help me alot and I post here every day as much as I can. I am big into Yahoo and I go on every night after 9 (when my kids are in bed) the fitday.com is a good site and has really help me to. I hope you make your goal and stay with it......best of luck
Hey Tiffany!! I'm twenty nine and have been married ten years. I am currently at my highest weight of my life. I'm sorta in the same boat as far as being home all day and living off my husband ( due to illness) so I get the money issue. I'm going to cut down on portions and everything I've researched says that you should walk at a fast pace or bike for thirty minutes a day for the first week then increase fifteen minutes the next week and then the next increase intensity!! I'm going to do that and maybe some Billy Blank Bootcamp stuff (because I've only heard good things about him on here), which you can check your local library to see if they have it (FREE). Hope to be chatting with you soon.
Welcome Tiffany. I am 29 and understand. Just tonight I make dinner for my son (left over cheeseburger and fries) and then I make mine, broccoli, rice and a thin slice of ham. Yes, the other option looked a lot yummier, but I have to stay on the right track. Knowing I have people here to keep me on track (and I feel challenge me as well as support me regularly) really helps.
