Hi, I am Brand New to your Forum and this is my first post but definitely not new to Chat Board Forums.
As of January 1st I am back at it again. Let me try to give you a brief or not so brief history of me.
Since being a teenager (now 51) I have always had a weight problem. About 20 years ago I became very successful loosing weight with WW. I lost 38 pounds and became a Life Time Member and started to work for them part time as a Group Leader / Lecturer. Well, years pass I quit working for them and I gain back all my weight plus another 15 or 20 pounds. I go back. Well you know how it goes. I have probably lost 300 pounds in my life time but gained back 260

My DH has always been happy with what ever I weigh and frankly I think prefers me heavier.
In January 2004 I was weighing 195 and inching close to that 200 pound mark, if I was 6 ft tall that would not be bad but I am 4'11" and since in the year of 2004 I was turning 50 I did not want to look 55 so I decided to take it off but do it myself not go to WW or anywhere else because frankly I did not have the time plus I really do know how to do it, it just take positive attitude and doing it. So my starting in January 2004 at 195 by September 2004 I was down to 138. I actually was quite proud of that 57 pounds weight loss. Basically how I do it is common sense eating, kind of following very old WW program from 15 plus years ago and exercise, exercise and

MORE Exercise

I feel the key is to burn more than you consume yet doing it in a very healthy way. There is NO BIG secret or fancy pills, just commen sense.
OK, you say what happened. Well,

I pretty much stayed close to the 138 till about July of last year when I gradually gained 10 pounds. Well, I kind of let that go figuring it was getting really hard to keep under 140. With being short the weight just seems to attract to me like a magnet. Plus DH and I like to Dine out a lot, drink champagne out, and we like to go on cruises at least 3 to 4 a year so unless I keep up an hour of exercise a day the weight is just going to creep back on. Anyway so I was trying to stay at 148 which is where I was in October for our last cruise. Some how when we return, the exercise went away and the eating continued along with the snacking.
January 1st I weighed 166 and very few of my clothes are fitting and I know my Formal wear for our next cruise February 4th definitely will not fit.
I am back at it

No more than 1100 calories a day, lots of water and Lots of exercise mostly treadmill and pilates. I like to weigh on Thursday or Fridays and give myself a slight break of strick eating on the weekend but stay strong with the exercise When I weighed myself Thursday I had lost 5 pounds and was at 161. My short term goal is to get to 150 in the next 4 weeks before we cruise on Feb. 4th, then once I get home from that My goal is to get back to that 138
Now if you have read thru my whole story I applaud you
