I've used a soy protein powder--vanilla flavored---3 different times in skim milk.

About 30 minutes -1 hour later I have a vicious headache!

I suspect I may be allergic, however I've eaten boca burgers without a problem.


Does this happen to anyone else????

It may not be the soy but something else. I had headaches after consuming some pre-made protein shakes. I suspect it was a sweetener or some other artificial ingredient. I have experimented and found several whey protein powders that work for me.

Whey is good and where I shop, cheaper.
I agree about the additives. I use plain soy protein from a bulk food store.

Hmm. I eat quite a bit of soy products and have never had a problem. Maybe ask your doctor if that's a normal reaction to soy or maybe do some research on the internet

I just had to get rid of my NS food that I got this month for the first time because I am allergic to the soy they contain. It first started with a headache, then I got the trots, followed by a rash on my lip that crawled all the way up to my eyes.

Better check with your doctor... I never even knew I had this allergy!!
