Default Stupid Looking But Great Salad Thingee

Looking forward to eating lots of salad this year, but I'm not looking forward to MAKING lots of salad, sometimes coming home to a fridge full of unwashed salad stuff seems like total drudgery!

Thought I would share this product that has helped me a lot in the past -- used to get it from bed bath & beyond but now they don't have it so I tracked it down on the fab www.

basically, it's a plastic bag with a drainage part to it, you put the washed salad in it and swing it around your head and look like a fool.

Children find this very amusing to watch.

But in just a minute VOILA! The salad is not only dry but packed up for work or just to store in the fridge, as this thing is also a zip-lock bag. They are reusable too but I end up throwing them away sometimes as convenience, especially away from home.

Also I love this thing I got from BBB that is a green plastic salad knife -- it won't make brown edges like metal knives and is easier than the tedious tearing....also you can have kids chop up the salad as it doesn't cut fingers, just veggies.

I'm hoping you go outside and fling the bag around right ? won't your house get soaked ROFL !!!! Heck with the children finding it amusing.... I'd find it amusing too JK JK

I have a salad spinner, its a bowl inside of a bowl with a button type thingy on top that you push. It really works and gets alot of the water out. I was impressed.

The plastic knifes are great, and its true, it doesn't turn the salad brown as fast.

They have a salad bowl with an area for the dressing. Your supposed to shake it and the salad is mixed... did you ever see this? I was wondering how it was and if anyone had one.

No no no you don't get soaked, LOL, because it's like a bag inside of a bag, see? so the water goes to the bottom awar from the salad and it sort of pours out the side into the sink and voila!

I gave away my salad spinner because it took up too much room in my cabinets, so I was horrified when I couldn't find these anymore, LOL....I HATE LOATHE AND DESPISE WET SALAD GREENS!
